Came here yesterday with my partner. Coffee was great, good sizes too. Ordered the Steak Sandwich off the Specials Board, which was lovely however I thought the price of $17 was a bit steep. For that price I would have thought you’d get some chips or a side salad with it.

It has been a while since I dined here but I have been a few times, my favorite meal is the BLT. The mango smoothie was delicious and i will definately be back for one this summer. Good service and wait time for food, no complaints. Keep up the good work.

They consistently serve a great coffee. I am now a regular because of the unfaulted service and fantastic coffee. The food is great, the friendly conversation from staff is a plus. I have now converted the office staff, and Friday lunches are becoming a regular occurrence. Keep up the good work Twisted Sisters Cafe.

Twisted Sisters – been there a few times over the last year or two. Each time – great food, good service. Would recommend to anyone travelling through to stop off and try something special. The Chicken and Leek pie is out of this world! Grandmas mince pie is also a goody. Look forward to calling in again soon.

They charge $1 if you want to use a credit card (but don’t tell you until you’re about to pay). **There was no visible sign at the time we visited**

Someone in our group ordered a flat white, they delivered a trim flat white, and insisted that we had ordered it even when we hadn’t, and in the end the person accepted it and drank it. Good service would have been just to accept it and make it again correctly. **I don’t think service is trivial – I think it is probably the MOST important part of any cafe**

Food/soup was ok. Have upgraded review to 2 stars to reflect this. Just a pity about the service. Won’t be going back again.

Upon visiting my mother recently one Saturday she recommended we dine at her regular coffee destination Twisted Sisters because although she regularly got her take away coffee fix from here she had not tried their menu food. Knowing how fussy my mother is about coffee I had high hopes for this place. On arrival I felt for the young male barista slaving away on a series of takeout drinks and trying to balance till service too. It seemed that he was running the café sole charge so we had no problem with waiting. Finally another staff member appeared from the kitchen. Her manner of service was abrasive. She seemed put out when we requested alterations on our orders and then she left us mid transaction to check a stove timer, no explanation given. Mum was right about the coffee and considering the amount walking out the door the delivery was prompt and the barista apologised for any delays. The food however arrived in a much later fashion, did not meet the price point in quality, presentation or portioning and aspects of it were cold or hard from sitting too long. Our abrasive till worker had also made the food and when she cleared our plates and asked how it was her response to my slight critique was a scowl and a snarky laugh. Mum later informed me she was actually the business owner. In brief the title is appropriate given the twisted service and food. My recommendation if passing through Tuakau stop in for a take away coffee it will fuel your drive ahead.

Had heard great things so decided to pop in for a coffee. The coffee was so hot it scalded my mouth on the first sip, and soooooo bitter I actually left mine (unheard of for me), I can honestly say it is the worst coffee I have EVER had. My ginger crunch looked gorgeous but was dry and old. Won’t be going there ever again sorry
