A reasonable suburban bar, but please know when you list Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir on your wine list and then serve up Roaring Meg Pinot Noir, and when questioned say they come from the same place so same same (yes they come from the same producers but they are different wines and very different price levels) this is NOT OK.
And pouring the wine with your back to the punter really only makes them suspicious – clearly for good reason.
I guess ordering wine at a ‘brew bar’ was my mistake…

Awesome relaxed atmosphere and service. We have been to this place a multiple of times and every time we have had really great service and not to mention really tasty food. The squid was plentiful and really yummy; the pizza was awesome – base not too thick with generous toppings. I would totally recommend this place and we will be back soon.

Been here a few times with a voucher and have always had friendly service. The food is very tasty and nicely presented.
The S & P prawns are delicious, the hot pork and buffalo wing small plates are spicy but finger lickin good. Havent had the pizzas here but they look nice with plenty of toppings and a good selection of flavours. They do a Monday special on 2 for 1 pizzas which look great value for a quick lunch. Obviously cant use a voucher on that deal but a good option if you dont have one. Thanks heaps guys. Keep up the good work and thanks for the deal. Regards.

Terrible service, in fact it was rude. Food was awful, cold and bland… When I tried to take it back the staff argued with me. Not a place I would recommend. Try the other smaller bars in Ellerslie, you might find a more pleasant experience is waiting

The food here was good but nothing to write home about. We had the fries and garlic bread – prettty standard bar food but great atmosphere. The outside area wasnt very well looked after service wide however, we had to light the heater oursleves and one of them didnt work.

Went on Saturday with a Grab One voucher for lunch, we had a platter, seafood one, which was divine nothing was overcooked and everything tasted fresh. Very impressive we are looking forward to going back. Hope they do another Grab one soon….

We ordered a few small plates to share for a light lunch on a Sunday and the dishes were good. We sampled meatballs, chilli coconut chicken skewers and fries with aioli.. It was quite busy, so it was difficult to find a table (most were reserved). Reasonably priced, and family friendly.

Been to the new union post since it has been refurbed as it use to be my local before I moved out of the area recently but still work round there.

Still great Pizza’s
but the flies that hung around outside last friday and landed on our glasses, food and hands was quite disgusting. Monday I was there again and sat inside and had the exact same problem inside, the flies were everywhere and then when I looked over to the bar the bar tenders behind it were frantically spraying fly spray everywhere which is not a nice site for a customer to see.

If this problem is sorted out it is the perfect little spot to go.

Yum! Been here a few times now & this is a fantastic addition to Ellerslie. I’m quite a ravioli fan – and the rav here was amazing. Hot new place to meet friends for a quick drink or have a meal.
