I have been to Venice twice now, with different couples and going again twice this coming weekend, I have found the service good, the food is excellent, they have a great special on, very good value for money, I cannot understand the previous negative comments and the only slightly negative comment I have is that with the special on, the place is always full and consequently quite noisy, but I have found this in other restaurants when they are full, the food overides any noise

We went to Venice the other night with a party of 9 and had a really great meal…good food, attentive service and all very reasonable too. a few of us had the calamari which was very tasty followed by the eye fillet steak. Couldn’t fault it. And those in our group who had pasta dishes were equally happy…can’t really understand some of the previous negative comments. Maybe changed owners or a new chef. Whatever. We will be going back.

Was our 3rd dining experience here, my partner arranged a surprise birthday party for 11 people. The staff were very very friendly and patient. The food was great. One of the mains was not to standard and once advised the staff promptly gave him a complimentary glass of the wine he had been previously drinking and shortly there after a brand new meal was presented to the liking of our friend. Would highly recommend for any occasion.

Organised a mid-week meal for 18 people from work. I found the food to be well prepared and delivered promptly. There was a great offer on, which we were all able to take advantage of. Would definitely recommend it to others

Last night the food was so incredibly average and basic. The tomato/capsicum sauce has no flavour at all and the same sauce is used for everything including the soup!! Have been before and will not go back. What a huge disappointment! The staff are surly including the owner!!
I would give this restaurant a 1 out of 10, the meals are always late– never cooked right and the service is always forced. Not to mention the walk to the bathroom– the kitchen always looks messy and unhygienic. After complaining about my meal– I heard very loud banging and voices raised, the chef clearly cannot take constructive criticism. Which is shocking because he clearly needs to re look at his menu and learn how to cook the food.
My experience was very disappointing and I hope people can read this and think twice before going to this poor excuse for an Italian restaurant.

Well after reading the previous reviews I was a bit apprehensive about dining here…but I had nothing to worry about and I can’t wait to go back. The food, service and atmosphere were all great!!!

When for dinner with my partner.
Ordered Basil bread for starter, with a house Shiraz;
Bread was nicely cooked, basil pesto was excellent.
She ordered a chicken almond main, I ordered a house special which was venison. She didnt finish so I ended up trying both.
It was, good, not great, just good. Cook is clearly not trained, (I know since I am), the house vegetables were well, .. pretty average broccilli and carrots with two potatoes (which was half of one whole), meal was drowned in sauce, both of them.
My main was $33, hers was $23. totally bill including drinks $94.
I’ve give this place 4.5/10, nice atmosphere, average food, polite staff, generally a good place to eat for a local strip mall restaurant, but .. for the money it cost I think I probably wouldnt recommend it too anyone,
Look at it like this: if you want you meal drowned in sauce go here, if you want average food no better than what you can cook at home at a top price, go here.
Otherwise, find somewhere else, Dennys would be a better choice (only just worse than).

When this was Largo Verde it was always full (any nigth of the week) and hard to get a booking. We visited a few weeks ago and there were only 10 people in the restaurant.
My veal masala was over sweet and the vegetables were over-cooked.
Since it has changed hands it has lost it’s Italian authenticity.
It is quite obvious when dining that it is no longer run by Italian’s and I am pretty sure that there is no longer a chef in the kitchen but an untrained cook.
A contender for an episode of the “Kitchen Job’.
As a previous satisfied customer it is sad to say we will not be returning.

I have had takeaways twice and dined in once, great service, great meals, only downfall is the toilet is outside..
I took the family to Venice last week . We ordered Calamari as an entree. It arrived and was as tough as old boots and inedible. I asked the waitress to mention it to the chef. We were the only people in the restaurant at this stage. When it was mentioned you could hear the banging of pots and doors being slammed. We were told “that is how chef cooks it” .We left the plate uneaten . Our pizza arrived and the bases were uncooked. We were left with the feeling that this could have been deliberate as we had dared to complain earlier .We will not return
