Excellent service and food. We were seated promptly and our meals arrived shortly after we had placed our order, snapper pan fried with chips and watercress. Our compliments to the chef! Our waitress, Jassi was very warm and welcoming. She checked on us during our meal to make sure that everything was ok.
Desserts were divine and very well presented. Thanks for the awesome experience! We would highly recommend this restaurant!

Had a $39 meal deal, 2 x mains and 2 x desserts for two, plus a drink. Waitress wanted to take our order before we had a chance to read thru the menu, then she wanted us to order our desserts too – we said later thanks – so she left one menu with us. At no stage were we offered or given water, nor a wine list. No air con so the place was hot, and noisy with pub quiz in the adjacent bar. Main meals were very nice, desserts not so nice (pre-prepared from look of them). Waitress kept texting on her phone, had no serving skills, and not very friendly – she definitely needs waitress training of some sort.

Went tonight with a deal voucher. I was a little apprehensive after reading the previous reviews, but we were most pleasantly surprised.
We were seated promptly, water followed soon after, then our orders for drinks soon after that. Drinks arrived quickly and our meal orders were taken. Lamb of rack for me and Scotch Fillet for my partner. Both arrived within about 15mins, fresh, hot and very tasty. Rack of Lamb came with potatoes, blanched green beans and an awesome jus. Partners steak came with potato, blanced green beans, fresh greenest of green broccoli and courgettes and an awesome sauce. For desert my partner had chocolate cherry cheesecake which I wish I had ordered. It was perfect. My desert was the brownie, which whilst ok was not what I should have ordered. All in all could not fault anything from our night.

My family and I went to The Village for dinner and we were quite appalled at the poor service. Two of us had arrived at 6:30pm whilst my partner and I arrived at 6:35pm. We already knew what we wanted to order before we got there, however, the waitress told us that there would be a five minute wait. Fine.
Unfortunately, after a few attempts to get the waiting staff’s attention, our order was not taken until 6:53pm so I asked the waitress as to why it took so long just to order our meals.
I was absolutely shocked and gobsmacked at the reply. She responded very rudely saying, “Excuse me honey, I watched you walk in and YOU did not wait that long”.
I was stunned at this response and replied, “You asked us to wait for five minutes but we waited much longer than that”.
Again, the waitress replied with the same response. Only this time, she added, “I have to serve the other tables first because they made bookings and you guys didn’t book”.
At this point, my family was stunned…because there were only three other tables in the restaurant that the time. The restaurant was basically empty. We did not understand why making a booking would make a difference as there were barely any other customers. Were we also not also paying customers? Were we lower in “priority” because we did not make a booking at an empty restaurant?

The waitress, then for the third time continued to aggressively say that she “watched” me come in and that I did not have to wait that long. I then said to her that she was being very rude and patronizing. As soon as I said this, she backed down. She took our order and then changed her attitude.

We then waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive.
Thankfully, the food was cooked very well. Big ups to the chef.
The other waitress on site was very polite and friendly.

The Village could potentially be a successful restaurant but it is such a pity that the our first impressions were taintMoreed by a very rude waitress. The service was really a let down. I am not sure whether I would be back. I enjoyed the food but not the service. I only hope that the management will have a look into their customer service and perhaps ensure that all of their staff check their attitude. I have NEVER been spoken to like that at a restaurant, cafe etc and I surely hope that this sort of thing does not happen to anybody else. It was quite alarming and it made me feel very uncomfortable being there.

Went to The Village for dinner with my wife and daughter. Waitress seated us promptly and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. Must say she also didn’t do a very good job seeing to us, very unprofessional attitude. We ordered an Entrée of Breads and dips and our mains ( pork belly and the stuffed chicken breast. Daughter got the kids chicken tenders and fries with a sundae). Entrée took a good half an hour to 40 mins. It would have been acceptable if the restaurant was full house but there were only two other patrons seated in the restaurant during our entire dining experience. Well after we sat there nibbling on our breads and dips and had finished it all it took a whole 45mins to an hour for our Mains to arrive. I kid you not!!! From this experience i can guarantee you that i will not be taking my family there to dine out ever again. Besides the fact that it was absolutely freezing inside, The Village. I understand that it is winter but it shouldn’t have to feel as cold as the outdoors when dining in your facility… Invest in some type of heating for your patrons would ya! And besides that it was totally not worth the money spent (100+ dollars for a below average meal… Never again) There are plenty of other great places to dine at than here!

Went for a sunday lunch last week. They had great food, for good value. Worth a visit. We had a mini pizza, which was delicious and good value for money. Staff were lovely and friendly. Good selection of drinks, including new Zealand products which is always a bonus.

Absolutely Fantastic!

Availability:
Went last night on a whim. Seated without hesitation and a warm a friendly smile.

Service:
Bar staff were friendly, talkative and informative. Waitress was fun and friendly and fast. Our meals were hand delivered by the head chef. Throughout the meal we were asked if it was nice. It was followed by nods as we were too involved in the delicious food. Plates were removed when finished not left to sit (which I love).

Food:
Delicious. I got the stuffed chicken and my fiance ordered the Crispy Pork Belly. Started with the cheesy garlic bread (best served between 3 ppl – large portion) and moved onto the mains. Then finished with desert (got the desert platter). Completely worth the price as the meals were big. I couldn’t stop eating even thou I was full. Excellent presentation and food was hot and served together (which I hate when its not). Scrumptious. I can’t stop thinking about it!

Highlight of the night –
Seeing the Head-Chef from MASTER CHEF NZ at the next table eating with his friends and family. You know its a good restaurant then!
I’m not sure If I’m allowed to name names. But you know who it is!…

Drinks:
A large array of drinks. Reasonable restaurant prices.

Decor:
Love it – modern & clean. Just the right lighting too.

Extras:
Lots of parking – Clean modern toilet facilities. Knowledgeable staff. Great chefs. Worth the price. Next Ill try a cocktail with the girls on a friday / saturday night. Looks like a great local! Complimentary Pick up – Amazing, who offers that these days?
Overall recommend! Try it.
