Village Inn Kitchen, formerly known as “The Village Inn” has undergone a renovation, a re-vamp and a menu-change. Please drop in to have a look at our new menu and the changes we’ve made.

Nige’s style of cooking can best be described as homestyle with firm European (and Asian and Modern New Zealand/Australian etc etc etc) roots.

He insists on using quality, fresh produce and wherever possible – locally sourced meat, seafood and vegetables.

Our focus at Village Inn Kitchen (V.I.K or ‘The Vik’ for short) is to create warm, memorable times for you and your loved ones – we encourage you to order some food to share or to be guided by our friendly staff and to give some of the interesting and different daily specials a try.

We strive to be your friendly local and a relaxed place to share great quality food, wine and beer with your friends and family.

Tucked away in the Hokowitu Village the V.I.K is a great little find. Walking distance for all the area was a big plus as the wine prices were so cheap.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting with two separate menus to choose from. We opted for the “grazing menu” which had multiple dishes to choose from. The Parmesan artichokes were delicious and a rare roast beef with horseradish sauce went well with our pinot noir.
Accompanied by acoustic guitar and voice in the corner of the room the night was highly enjoyable and I would definitely return.
