5 of us went to Viva’s for breakfast this morning. 4 of us ordered the Eggs Benedict and 1 the “Big breakfast” or whatever they call it. The total cost, which included 1 coffee and 2 juices was $88. All 8 eggs bene that arrived were over-cooked ie hard and the sauce was a bit congealed. The big breakfast arrived with no eggs and when questioned the wait person said she thought that eggs were not wanted! Funnily enough they managed to produce the eggs reasonably quickly and they were scrambled as per the original order even though she hadn’t asked how they were wanted. Good guess on her part I suppose. When I mentioned our disappointment re the hard eggs I was offered a flat white. I accepted the offer and 1 another of our group ordered a flat white and a 3rd person ordered a mochachino. The wait-person arrived back with 2 flat whites saying they were free however we would be charged for the mocha. I told her we were absolutely not going to pay for any of these drinks. On the whole pretty bloody disappointing and a poor effort on their part to make up for less than average cooking and service. Won’t go back again.
I’m not usually one for hot chocolates or crepes, but this place really has converted me.
The lemon crepes are just like a raving party of maniacal citrus ninjas in my mouth. The hot chocolates got a thumbs up from my chocolate connoisseur partner man, who is quite particular about his hot chocolates and the chocolate crepes made my friend want to melt all over the floor. This was all for under $20! Nicely done, Viva’s.

Lovely cafe – great food and goof coffee. Nice selection from the cabinet, but I recommend the omelette or the delicious crepes. I have visited several times now, and this is becomng a regular haunt.
