From straight off the plane at Queenstown we drove to Arrowtown to find a place for breakfast. Luckily for us it was a lovely day tho cool. The garden setting is beautiful and even though on the main road to Arrowtown the traffic was not a hinderance to our enjoyment. The service was friendly and the food was good. Recommend – sat outside to eat but I am sure just as good inside.

My favorite place for breakfast/lunch, or cakes and coffees! Great food, great garden, great service. Love it! Don’t forget to read what’s written on the wall in the restroom..

I absolutely loved this place! The gardens are just georgeous and so peaceful and relaxing. The food and service were also great. I am heading to Queenstown in a few weeks for the weekend and will definately be stopping in at the Walnut Cottage, can’t wait to go there again!

This is one of the nicest places to dine in the the entire Queenstown Lakes district. The food is fantastic and (a bonus in this area!) inexpensive.

Just sitting out in the beautiful garden outdoor dining area is totally relaxing. They have a fantastic play area round the back for kids with a huge sandpit, slide and swing. Our son has a wonderful time playing while we get to enjoy some rare peace and quiet to enjoy our meal.

The staff are just wonderful and go out of their way to make your experience there as pleasant as possible.

We make sure we visit every time we’re in town and just can’t recommend the Walnut cottage dining experience highly enough.
