Great Gluten free muffins and their coffee was great stopped for morning tea on way to Dunedin and then had dinner on way back. Ordered off the menu which was recommended by the chef. I had a T-bone which was incredible huge steak and delicious fresh salad. was about 20 bucks or so which was cheap as I thought I would pay $38 for that in Queenstown easy. For dessert I had home made sticky date!! yes home made, unreal couldn’t believe it, the wife had fresh fish and home made cheese cake. Will stop on way through next time for sure.

Arrived at our booking time of 7.30pm, were attended to promptly. Requested main as an entree and told they wouldn’t do this. Ok, not the end of the world! While waiting for main waitress brought signs in, put a closed sign up on the door and farewelled the other 3 waiting staff. This made us feel quite unwelcome/hurried! Didn’t ask us if we would like drinks (we had to ask), didn’t ask me how I’d like my steak done (I had to call her back to the table to tell her). As it turns out, it didn’t matter what I said, as my request for medium rare was met with a well done steak. The meal was just ok and slightly overpriced – whoever gave these guys a beef & lamb award must have been closely related to the owners! Sat for 20 minutes after our mains were finished waiting for the dessert menu which we were never offered so left and got an ice cream on the way home! The staff were nice and friendly, but we definately won’t be back.
