The Wharf Shed Restaurant is an award winning A la Carte Restaurant, situated on the historic Quayside in Whakatane.
Famous for its exquisite chowder and seafood dishes, the kitchen also produces prime steaks, succulent lamb, plus delicious sushi and vegetarian meals.

Wherever possible, produce is locally-sourced, such as fish, which is obtained directly from the local fishermen as they bring in their daily catch to the wharf.

Fruit & veg come from local orchards, while beverages include the award-winning local Mata beer, wine from the boutique Braemar Estate winery, plus a strong range of distinguished New Zealand wines.

In addition, Wharf Shed desserts are rather special. The “Berry White Island” was inspired by this country’s active marine volcano. A scrumptious meringue top forms the crater from which fruit and their juices embody the lava-flows, as they drizzle over a blend of yoghurt & cream.
