Over the years I’ve been here in evenings – good food nicely presented, and also at lunchtimes – food is fair though veggies somewhat overcooked often. Lunch special (roast) was $9.90 till early 2012 – now $11.50, still good value.

This place was absolutely amazing! We held a group dinner and this restaurant provided us with great menu selection, awesome and very friendly service, great tasting food! Such a great “homely” environment will most definately be returning!

The food is bad. Service was bad.
The girl that took our order was so dry and didn’t seem to want to be there.They had fish on menu but never had a sign up saying that had no fish!!Also the steak was plain and not seasoned!!The ham steak was really plain.The meals weren’t presented very well. I’m a chef and i would make better meals for my cats at home than this restaurant

Went here for lunch one day…had grilled fish. It came with poorly presented vegetables which had been boiled to the point where they were turning mushy. The mashed potato tasted really weird- not sure what was in it. Couldn’t eat it. really shocking meal!!!

Food was okay. Good selection to choose from. A nice place to take the kids for a treat. Staff were very pleasant.

The Wig and Pen is a great restaurant, food portions for the price are large and if you leave hungry than there must be something wrong with you. Staff are friendly and helpful, even to the point of bringing food to your table when eating in the bar, normally its collect your own, as its a mainly bistro restaurant. Highly recommended.
