We enjoyed a meal here – convivial atmosphere and divine garlic and salt prawns which had a very light tempura batter and cooked to perfection. The chicken katsui was a little oily but very nice. The steamed dumplings and money bags were tasty and the beers cold. The pine tables and light bright ambience is great for this type of communal eating. It was quite expensive compared to many other asian eating places, because the portions are one the small side, so you tend to keep ordering more and more…. but we enjoyed everything we ate and will come back for more. A fun evening especially if you start talking to other diners which is quite appropriate in this setting.

Enjoyable lunch. One younger female staff member in particular was very friendly, polite & well mannered to talk to. I ordered the cashew chicken potato basket which was nice and my mother ordered the pork with asian greens, which was mostly all asparagus & was very hard and crunchy (probably not the best choice for an elderly person with less than average teeth) also bitter. The starters were really good(curry puff, money bags and mini sprigrolls platter) The iced tea is refreshing. We liked it that the cooking is all done in view and you can see the chefs as they make the dishes. The atmosphere was a little noisey. Price ranged from average – high

The staff were friendly and attentive and the starters a group of us shared were very nice. However, I was unfortunate to choose the wrong dish – Thai beef and pepper pork with roti. I think the chef got the pepper and salt mixed up because the meat was so dry and salty I could not eat it. There was not a drop of any sauce and the salad was paltry so after a few bites I could not go on. I should have asked for it to be taken away and ordered something else. Also the roti was not the roti I know (or what was pictured). It was swimming in oil. I didn’t want to give myself a heart attack so didn’t eat. I can safely say it was the worst Asian dish I’d ever eaten. Luckily I had filled up on the starters. If I went back there again with a group of people I’d just have the small stuff. Others said they liked theirs but judging from some of the dishes there was too much dressing, too much oil, too much marinade. They did not look particularly appealing. Disappointing after the good things I’d heard.
