Average. Have been there a few times (for partners kids birthday dinners) and never look forward to it. Menu is uninspired, no vegetarian options… regular run of the mill place with very average food, and under average service.
(To go into detail about the service; We ordered garlic bread to start which seemed to be taking long, but we couldn’t get any servers attention, so we just waited. But eventually our main meals arrived, so pointed out to the waitress that we’d ordered garlic bread that never came, to which she replied “oh” in a very disinterested way and said nothing else, so we then asked her if she could check what happened. When she came back with more mains she made no mention of the garlic bread so we asked if she had checked, and she said “looks like the order wasn’t put through”. That was the only explanation she gave. She didn’t bother to ask if we would still like some, and didn’t so much as simply apologize for the mistake. If waitresses got tipped in NZ, she wouldn’t have gotten anything! I have worked as a waitress myself, and was shocked at how dull, unfriendly, and unapologetic this one was!)
Kids don’t seem to mind the place, since food quality doesn’t tend to apply, and they like “plain” predictable food anyways. But otherwise, in my opinion, there are much better restaurants in town, and you should give this one a miss.
