We had a team dinner at Zavito Restaurant 4 months ago as my friend recommended. It was a very nice restaurant with a good customer service. We were impressed with the great food with the reasonable price. I will definitely recommended to my friends.

lovely restaurant, went there with a friend for brunch on the weekend. Nice big portions with the most friendliest of staff, top of the range service and also the amazing taste! Prices were reasonable. I love the sense of relaxing atmosphere when dining there. Will certainly be back to try out the pizzas.

Went to Zavito last week and was greeted by this lovely American waitress, she was very friendly and provided us with excellent service, however I noticed a bit of a change and asked her where Gavin or Grant was, to then find out that the business had been sold. Unfortunately the atmosphere has changed a lot, the new owner is nice but doesn’t quite fit into the Zavito atmosphere, and unfortunately the new manager of Zavito comes off as looking very rough and unapproachable. The food was good but I have noticed that the portions have became smaller as well as the quality, it would be a shame to see Zavito go downhill, but I have noticed some changes, it’s not quite the same anymore

I just moved to Mairangi Bay last month. My friend said to me Zavito is a famous restaurant on the North Shore. So we had dinner yesterday. I was impressed as had seen it before but never been in. Great food, good price and fantastic friendly service. Excellent kids menu. My son was very happy.

Four of us ate here last week after reading all the good reviews and we were not disappointed! Everything was fresh and tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. The Texan Pizza I ordered was excellent, juicy and full of flavor! The mains were awesome and my friend said it was one of the best restaurants on the shore. I would definitely recommend Zavito and I will be back.

We dined at Zavitos a few weeks ago, and was sad that Gavin was no longer there. The atmosphere has always been so welcoming. The lady that greeted us was chewing gum and looked extremely uninterested in seating us. She looked as though she may have been the new owner – but couldn’t be sure. She really brought down our experience with the lack of enthusiasm and I don’t think she smiled at us once. The food was still okay, so really hope that Zavito’s food remains as good as it was with Gavin in charge.

We have often bought the takeaway gourmet pizzas prior to this restaurant changing hands. Bought 3 pizzas tonight and none of them were anywhere near as good; the crusts were burnt, the bases were hard so that you couldn’t actually cut through them easily and the flavours weren’t as tasty. The lamb on the Istanbul pizza was tough and we thought the pizzas looked smaller. We will not be buying them again at almost $22 each. We were happy to pay this amount prior as they were just SO good! It’s a real shame the quality has deteriorated with the new ownership.

We were at Zavitos recently and thought the atmosphere was no longer there. Its so sad the place has been sold the previous owner was such a gem. I also found the food wasnt as good. Will be a real shame if this fantastic restaurant deteriorated.

Have been to Zavito’s a number of times and could notice a significant change as the wonderful Gavin no longer owns the restaurant anymore. The food was great and had a very lovely waitress who was very accommodating as usual, however I did notice that the atmosphere was different to when Gavin owned it, it just didnt seem as lively anymore, I would hate to see Zavitos change due to change of ownership, however still lovely staff and food

Very good food, venue and atmosphere. Service was fine but could be better. The girls missed a few opportunities to make an impression, and up sell.

Found this restaurant by chance, had visitors to Auckland with us. Viewed menu first, very busy but very accommodating from every member of their well trained staff. Very good service & delightful meal cooked & served artistically on the plate. Now that’s what I call a good restaurant, the flavours lingered for ages. Nice strong tasty flavours. We will visit again, well done Zavito.

Have dined here twice now, and both on a Wednesday night. Lovely to see that your tables were full, but from guessing from my previous time with you I didnt expect anything less. Compliments to your chef…perfect in all courses once again. A great selection in menu for all to enjoy, simple but rich wholesome flavours and more than generous proportions.

Thank you for yet another enjoyable satisfying evening. Cant wait for for my return.

Very average, we were a party of 7. Some nice shared starters. Great steaks, poor salade, average pizza. wouldn’t recommend.

Just came back from Zavito….amazing! Had a starter, main but unfortunately had no room for desert it was that good! But the food was quality, reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere and service. Will definitely recommend and come back! We even left a tip! Which we don’t do often!

Best meal we have had for a LONG time!! Started with garlic and cheese pizza bread which was tasty, then I had the snapper special with a beautiful cheese sauce, my friend had the steak special which was so tender, both very yummy. We were both full by then, but couldn’t resist sharing the lemon curd crumble-mmmm! Great meal, great staff, best restaurant!

Zavito’s never disappoints. The owner and his staff work well together and the food is always fantastic. I’m sure I’ve been there well over a dozen times but never written a review, so thought it was well-overdue.

It’s a fair wait for the pizza, but the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and happy, and we’re happy, too. The wait staff are chatty, but not intrusive, and the owner is front of house, busy working along with his staff = great teamwork and good spirits. The woodfired pizzas arrive and are duly dispatched – a seafood variety which is a special of the day, and a Morroccon style with generous slices of tender lamb, black olives and spinach. The crust is deliciously thin and crisp. We’re delighted with the quality of the food, the prices and the excellent service. We’ll be back another day to try something that is perhaps less cheap but I’m sure will be just as cheerful.

Good atmosphere, wood fire Pizzas are something special, all up very easy on your wallet too. Have been a few times and yet to be disappointed.

We chose Zavito because it was local. We were dining out for a birthday dinner and really wanted a nice place, however the 4 of use were sadly disappointed. The Pizza menu was very disappointing and the other meals that we had were very average in flavour.

Presentation of meals was good however i feel the costs exceeded the overall quality of the meal.

Absolutely fantastic tasting food and awesome atmosphere including staff, going again tonight! I recommend the pizza…
