I like the food at this restaurant, always tasty. Their Buffet is really worth the price. Staff are friendly. What more could one ask for!!

We went to Zyka on a Saturday for lunch, and was delightfully surprised that they had a $12 lunch buffet – which is a really good deal, if you ask me – considering the fact that most Indian meals cost between $16-20 these days. They had a good range of dishes (i copied this from the website):-
Butter chicken as a fixed curry along with another chicken curry (changes are made each weekend).
Vegetable Briyani served with Raita
Plain rice
Pulao rice
Raita
Spicey Mango Pickle
Plain Naan bread
Coconut chutney and one dessert (Gulbjamanum, Rice Kheer, Kesari Bhath or Kesari Pineapple Payassam).
I had 2 servings of each and was completely unable to walk for the rest of the day! LOL It was THAT good. Definitely coming back for their weekend buffet lunches!

Went to this restaurant as it was in the entertainment book so we had a coupon. The location wasn’t clear…it is between Pizza Hut and the TAB. Entree was really good but had some rubbery meats. We got offered a free beer or wine with our main which was a bonus. The main was pretty tasty. My main issues were the serving staff who didn’t seem to know what order the food should come in… Entrees come first I thought! The atmosphere was shockingly bad. Having to listen to Shortland Street athigh volume on the big screen, even when we asked it to be turned down, wasn’t the ideal way to have a dinner out. However with the coupon the price was really good, feeding two people for two courses including drinks for $30.

Wish i could give it half a star! Because of their misleading website we went there for my friend’s birthday dinner. The restaurant was empty and the chef was sitting outside the restaurant when we reached there. The food was aweful. probably the worst Indian food i have tasted till now. Their indo-chinese food should not be included in their menu. It was full of pepper and there was nothing indo-chinese about it.
Fried rice was served on a small plate and the paneer dishes had more capsicums to fill the plate than paneer.
The birthday boy actually ended up eating Wendy’s from outside. The food was over-priced and i would definately not recommend this place to anyone

Their website is pretty misleading and so were its reviews. We made a reservation which was a joke coz the place was absolutely deserted and for good reason. We live in the city and drove all the way there. The over priced fish was dry and burned; the chicken was like chewing gum. The food and ambience were a let down. I mentioned this to the hostess who actually came over to ask. We were still charged a full price and ‘the free glass of wine for making a reservation’ that the website claims to offer is an illusion. Wish we’d actually eaten at the fast food place next door!

The food is always excellent. I have bought from here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. The setting and ambience is great, staff are very friendly also. Extensive menu, and good prices too. Definately recommend Zyka Lynfield to anyone looking for tasty Indian cuisine.
