Zyka Indian Restaurant creates mouth watering traditional Indian food. Our speciality dishes are the Butter Chicken and Chicken Masala. We have been open for over 6 years. The restaurant seats 80 people and is available to hire out for functions.
The delivery really disappointed me, he said 15 mins from order, half an hour later I called back, he said 5 mins I called back a further half hour later absolute fuming, acted like it didn’t even bother him, 15 mins- last phone call I began reducing the price- they finally turn up 2 mins later, kids starving, guests staring at red faced hosts, must have a different understanding of 15 mins – curries were okay tandoori cold, naan soggy, might just have a different understanding of mild though…
Probably does taste nicer warm but I wouldn’t know, You know who I am, you know where I live, make up for it Zyka!
Stopped in for lunch. I thought the customer service was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My meal was very enjoyable and they had the best lunch specials! Would recommend them to anyone and I will only ever eat Indian here. Thank you!
After discovering Zyka by chance I have been there regularly over the last year. Their weekend buffet is great value at $12 (adults) and has a good range of curries, plus lots of lovely nibbley bits..and they include naan breads! The food is always superb!
They also offer a dessert or two which has allowed me to explore some wonderful flavours.
The welcome is always friendly and the service is excellent.
We travel for around half an hour to get there and it’s definitely worth it!
Went there for our 5 year anniversary with my wife and the food was horrible. Food tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. The Samosa were bland and dry and the Chicken Biryan tasted like nothing I had ever tried, very disappointing experience.
Will not be returning ever, should have gone KFC next door.
We went to Zyka on a Saturday for lunch, and was delightfully surprised that they had a $12 lunch buffet – which is a really good deal, if you ask me – considering the fact that most Indian meals cost between $16-20 these days. They had a good range of dishes (i copied this from the website):-
Butter chicken as a fixed curry along with another chicken curry (changes are made each weekend).
Vegetable Briyani served with Raita
Spicey Mango Pickle
Plain Naan bread
Coconut chutney and one dessert (Gulbjamanum, Rice Kheer, Kesari Bhath or Kesari Pineapple Payassam).
I had 2 servings of each and was completely unable to walk for the rest of the day! LOL It was THAT good. Definitely coming back for their weekend buffet lunches!
Went to this restaurant as it was in the entertainment book so we had a coupon. The location wasn’t clear…it is between Pizza Hut and the TAB. Entree was really good but had some rubbery meats. We got offered a free beer or wine with our main which was a bonus. The main was pretty tasty. My main issues were the serving staff who didn’t seem to know what order the food should come in… Entrees come first I thought! The atmosphere was shockingly bad. Having to listen to Shortland Street athigh volume on the big screen, even when we asked it to be turned down, wasn’t the ideal way to have a dinner out. However with the coupon the price was really good, feeding two people for two courses including drinks for $30.
Wish i could give it half a star! Because of their misleading website we went there for my friend’s birthday dinner. The restaurant was empty and the chef was sitting outside the restaurant when we reached there. The food was aweful. probably the worst Indian food i have tasted till now. Their indo-chinese food should not be included in their menu. It was full of pepper and there was nothing indo-chinese about it.
Fried rice was served on a small plate and the paneer dishes had more capsicums to fill the plate than paneer.
The birthday boy actually ended up eating Wendy’s from outside. The food was over-priced and i would definately not recommend this place to anyone
Their website is pretty misleading and so were its reviews. We made a reservation which was a joke coz the place was absolutely deserted and for good reason. We live in the city and drove all the way there. The over priced fish was dry and burned; the chicken was like chewing gum. The food and ambience were a let down. I mentioned this to the hostess who actually came over to ask. We were still charged a full price and ‘the free glass of wine for making a reservation’ that the website claims to offer is an illusion. Wish we’d actually eaten at the fast food place next door!
The food is always excellent. I have bought from here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. The setting and ambience is great, staff are very friendly also. Extensive menu, and good prices too. Definately recommend Zyka Lynfield to anyone looking for tasty Indian cuisine.
