26/05/2012My husband and I had dinner at your restaurant tonight. I would like to thank you and your staff for a fantastic night. We bought a voucher via yazoom the other night and enjoyed your set menu. The entree was perfect assortment to get your taste buds going. The main menu ( Scotch Fillet ) was perfectly cooked. The desert (Plum Crumble Pie ) was most defiantly heavenly. The service was impeccable and defiantly the best I have experienced. Thank you so much for a wonderful night.

26/05/2012I just went there for dinner and it was the worst place. It was a-buffet and there was 3 options. out of the six tables of people it continuously ran out. The menu for Saturday was not any of the food served and my 3 year old refused to eat the rice, which she usually loves. We left and went to the kfc next door for dinner because we were still hungry. There was not even a sign for the toilet, so you had to ask where it was.

26/05/2012Mecca is my ultimate meeting place I go there on a regular basis. I meet friends and I also have business meetings there quiet often. Great location, good food and the service is good. Although, the staff turnover is high, they friendly and they look after you. There is one disappointing thing lately what makes me not wanting to go back is a person a manager or somewhat walking around the place, his rather rude and not helpful at all. I just had a complaint from one of my clients who went to Mecca after one of our meeting as I recommended the place and he had a same disappoint experience with the arrogant manager. Unprofessional and I don’t think he knows what his duty is as his just walking around trying to look busy but he doesn’t really find his place. Annoying and makes you feel uncomfortable.

25/05/2012Went in there the other day for lunch with my partner, we had the burger and mussels both really good pub/bistro meals i guess Ponsonby pub grub, our waiter was very attentive, friendly and very funny I suppose the only disappointment was the awfull coffee we were served just bitter and not nice but I guess that’s what you should expect from a beer cafe!! We will definitely be back my partner is determined to finish the burger in our next visit but we will get our coffee elsewhere!

25/05/2012Awesome food at this newly discovered little eatery downtown Auckland. Located in Vero building on Shortland Street. You can’t get better value for money than at Pavillion. I mean $12.90 for a main is just super value especially in Auckland. Keep it up you guys.

25/05/2012If you looking for a lovely warm atmosphere, excellent service and reasonably priced lunches – this is the place to go to. Been there for four occasions and 100% each time The freshness of the meals, prepared in front of you- served with much attention to detail- makes it really a place to stop for a relaxed and inviting munch.

25/05/2012This was our first visit, and the highlight was undoubtedly the parmesan encrusted lamb as our mains. Outstanding! Generous servings and perfectly cooked. We’d asked about fish of the day when we booked in the afternoon. “it hasnt been decided” we were told. On arrival we were told “weve run out of fish of the day.” Curious… Even tho there is a gish shop a couple of doors away. Room for improvement: the cutlery is provided tighly wrapped in a small paper serviette. If you manage to unwrap yours without dropping them, you’ve done well. I didn’t. Then try to cover your lap with the serviette…The entree bread selection was a low point. While generous, the bread Had been toasted and buttered. Maybe we misread the menu, but we are used to fresh breads to dip into the oil, pesto, dip etc. We were not asked about wine. Not a good look: the folded newspaper stuck under a table leg to stop the wobble. With a few tweaks this eatery could easily be four star. I’ll be checking before I return….

23/05/2012Love this place. Went for the hi-tea – the selection of sweet and savoury treats was impressive. Range of tea flavours was awesome. Really good service. Nice and cosy ambience (though it was a bit too dark for my liking) – but I guess it goes with the theme.
Make sure u check out the restrooms – very unique!

22/05/2012I’ve heard KAZUYA’s great reputations by word of mouth,so we’ve visited there as a couple lately. The food was exceptional, every single dish or bite was just amazing. I can’t express my fabulous experiences well. Just “Seeing is believing”, I strongly recommend to book this restaurant for a special occasion, then you will know how wonderful they are! Probably one of the best I’ve ever been to in NZ. I look forward to visiting there soon again.

22/05/2012I haven’t tasted a CALAMARI as divine as the one I ate at Andres Restaurant 149 Parnell Road, Parnell. I recommend to everyone who enjoys Spanish, Italian, and French cuisine. Come and have your taste buds go to heaven.

22/05/2012Cant fault the food and the baguettes are AMAZING. They have such a quick turnaround on the weekend that they are always warm – YUM. Have only eaten in once as its often very busy and not much room, but with Rocket park across the road you can always take out to there on a sunny day. Have a great deli selection and pastries to die for…..

21/05/2012Yummy!! This is a place where you can actually get a proper PIZZA in Auckland, with nice, taste, good quality ingredients, (not the, tasteless thick or thin bread stuff with topping, they call pizza at a lot of other places), I think this is one of the best Pizzerias in town.

21/05/2012While it appeared to be a busy little restaurant I really couldn’t understand why. Flat coke despite it coming from a can (not stored in fridge) can was under counter and wondering if it was left overs from night before. Asked for another, still flat. Duck overcooked, fettuccine made better at home, pork belly not actually belly according to my butcher husband but another part of the pig, and was a little tough. Asked 3 times in space of 5 mins if happy with meal, then waitress starts to clear our plates while we were in deep conversation both of us still eating and cutlery left open on plate. To top it off, husband pays, sits back down to wait while I go to loo, leaving my jacket on chair. I return 2 mins later to find husband pushed out by staff who removed my jacket and another couple sitting down despite other tables being available. Sorry won’t be returning, can think of several reasons y not to not return to the y not bar.

19/05/2012I wouldn’t even give this a one. Me and my partner went there for pizza before seeing a movie. The pizza’s tasted like plastic microwave ones.. do not recommend! Expensive for what the pizza’s are like.
Haven’t tried the other food but wouldn’t recommend the pizza to anyone!

19/05/2012If I hear the word pizza, I think of That’s Amore.. Why?? Its because they’ve got the best pizza and I’m addicted. I recommend #38 and #33 oh! they’re divine. The atmosphere is cosy and clean. Staff were awesome, friendly, efficient and enjoy listening to their cute Italian accent. Will definitely be going back!!

18/05/2012We’ve been to sails restaurant about three times prior and each time had been enjoyable experience. Writing the review this time based on the voucher deal we got for degustation for two at Sails. As we’ve never had a degustation dining experience before we weren’t sure what to expect, and our biggest concern was regarding the portion size (from reading degustation @ other places). I can say that this is not a worry at Sails, the portions end up just right (the angus will fill you up) and the dessert wine we decided to have with the baked lemon creme was something I’m missing now as I’m typing this review. The voucher was worth it ($120 for two) and I’d definitely come back @ full price for a special occasion, and possibly with the paired drinks option!
