21/05/2012We were so looking forwarded to going to Bordums as we used to go to the New Market one all the time. But what a BIG disappointment. The place was cold and had no Turkish feel to it. The food was awful and the pita bread was not fresh. The services was slow, I would not recommend that you go. O stars

17/05/2012This basic cafe offers both Arab and Western dishes at reasonable prices. Love their thick, nutty hummus and the creamy kanafe dessert. You can even get your tea with mint or sage.

12/05/2012went there last night, the waitresses were very friendly and helpful, although I had to go to the bar every time we wanted a drink, not a major, the mezze platter was awesome and was enough for 5 of us, the five of us had lasagna and the borek and the comments were very good, my son had the apadana pizza which was really salty, Not sure if it was meat or the base, My wife had the seafood platter she found it all a bit overcooked and the scallops were tough and the mussels were so overcooked they were rubber, it was all very fresh though, I had the lamb shank with a extra shank, the whole dish was really nice, and I think it would of been 100% great if it was just cooked a little longer, If you’ve ever had lonestars shank, you ll know what i mean. Overall was really nice night..

10/05/2012Went for lunch today with a friend. After browsing through restaurants, casablanca looked welcoming and cosy. Menu boards are confusing as way too much to say but finally settled down with the kofta balls on a broad bean salad with a hummus yogurt drizzle. Didn’t wait too long. Taste was lovely and fresh. Hint of mint and parsley with the broad beans. Had to take my leftovers up to the counter although I had been sitting some time with a half empty plate and thought they would have asked how it was. Took it up to the counter and asked for it to be boxed up! Had to wait about 5 minutes while they served other customers. All in all, food is lovely! Can’t wait to go back and try something different. Service could be friendly but in all, you can’t have everything!

28/04/2012We live nearby, and often drop by when cooking is too much… Karadeniz is a low key, friendly place for decent Turkish food at decent prices. There’s usually just one or two staff, so be prepared to be patient if there’s a few people in. Great pictures to look at while you’re waiting, too! Can’t fault them on what they do
