Dined here a few months ago (just remembered to place feedback). I had the ribs, was happily eating my dinner when I found a piece of plastic in my food. I told the waitstaff and she took my plate away to the kitchen. She came back a few minutes later and said dont worry the chef said its only a bit of plastic from the ribs packaging!!! No sorry, would you like a drink or refund. Another waitress came by 5 minutes later and asked how our meals were we told her about the plastic. She went away and came back a few mintues later and was very apologetic. She asked us to fill in entertainment review questionaire and said to write down about the plastic and the waitress reply to my complaint and that she would pass it on to management and get them to ring us the next day. Its been a few months and never heard anything. Disgusting, would not ever return here, staff were grumpy, not welcoming and it seemed like they didnt get along. The friendly waitress seemed like she wanted to get the chef and other rude waitress fired. Stay away from this one

Went here for lunch today with a table of 6. To start with wait staff were friendly. Our meals took ages to come and when they did they were cold. We had simple meals, seafood chowder, salad and vege stack. Advised the wait staff they were cold and they apologised and took away. The meals came back a few minutes later, it was very obvious they had been microwaved as there was a skin on the soup and veges tough. Wait staff came to see how meals were said still cold and obvious been microwaved, she asked do we want to speak to manager, we said it wasn’t good enough the quality of the meals and I would have thought that was a given, never saw the manager and never asked when paying how meals were. The food here is usually faultless but definitely not today. A coffee at our table that was ordered with the mains took longer to come that the reheated mains. Very disappointed, the place was not busy and there was alot of wait staff on.

we ordered the vegetarian antipasto pizza.when asked how our pizza was by sheila the waitress, we pointed out there were no artichokes,as per menu.(the eggplant was not evident either)sheila said,’oh we are out of that at the moment’. later she came back and said,’the artichokes had just come in,did we want them as a side dish?’whether it was seeing our incredulous looks or not, she went on to say,”we don’t usually put them on the pizza as most people do not like them.they are only available on request.’ they are on the menu.her comments were insulting.we were entitled not to pay our full bill.we did, but no apologies were forthcoming.where do they get these people?

Recently attended with a party of 14 others for a special function. The meals ordered were very pleasant and the ambience was good. The only sour note to spoil what was otherwise a nice evening was realising some days later (after having found the receipt) that I had been charged for a main that was not ordered and also overcharged for corkage. The corkage in particular had been costed out on the bill at $10.50 per bottle unlike the $9.50 as advertised. My mistake really, I should have checked the bill at the time. I was under the albeit misguided impression that staff would have totalled up correctly.

First went to this restaurant when it opened – no liquor license at the time which wasn’t a problem but never offered anything else to drink, food was average and service reminded me of Faulty Towers! Not sure why we decided to go back but thought We would give them another try – especially being close to home and being huge Italian foodies! Not sure why we bothered – Food was very average – pizza bread for starters – well manufactured (if u know what I mean), lasagna tasted like it was overheated in a microwave and lacked flavour, my partner had a pasta dish which tasted like a tin of tomatoes tipped over some pasta – not good. I must say on a positive note the tiramisu was good which we shared. We dine out alot and like to support our locals also – but come on – if you are going to survive you need to pick your game up – we won’t be back unfortunately as much better options to dine at in chch.

Loved the location the building and my pizza omg the cheese pizza my mouth is watering already while remembering and I’m not a huge fan of blue cheese however as they say its just a hint. we had so much pizza after sharing the large between two we had some for lunch the next day and I gotta say that cheese one just keeps getting better. Found the staff to be friendly too which helps

looking for the best $10 meal in town then head to Honey pot cafe for the very yummy breakfast muffin, a split muffin with the best ever relish, bacon, eggs anyway you like them half an avocado and hollandaise sauce, Delicious.
Please never take this from the menu.
Had the pleasure of sampling the pizza’s too and will be back for them one day as well
Keep the excellent work in the kitchen guys, and honestly look into bottling and selling that relish.

The aroma will capture you as you come to the door tantalising your taste buds, which will not be disappointed as the most delicious well balanced curry’s hit them. What a wee little gem hidden away in Spreydon, such professional polite friendly staff, willing to go the extra mile. Very generous servings and perfect mango lassi to round of the perfect dinner. Thanks guys

My partner took me here as a surprise for my birthday. We had a great night. The staff were friendly & attentive to our needs but allowed us to relax and enjoy the meal. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, the restaurant was about half full this evening. We had the set menu which was more food than we could almost finish and it was all delicious. I will definitely come back again, I imagine on a summers day and sit outside in the courtyard with a glass of wine.

Went here tonight. The atmosphere and the decor was nice, not too busy and not too quiet. I ordered the vegetarian green curry and it didn’t state how spicy it would be, but wow it was pretty spicy even though I enjoy spicy food. Overall the green curry was very tasty with lots of veges!

Went here tonight, was quite quiet which was nice. A dark dim atmosphere and loved the 90′s music they were playing, so nostalgic. I ordered the Chicken Breast with mushroom sauce, roast veges and skillet potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the Rump Steak with mushroom sauce, salad and fries. We found both our meals hot, tender and big portions. The sauce was nice as well! Chips were a little salty, and there was a nice variety of veges, and especially loved the pumpkin. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Overall, good food, great music and nice waitress. The price is cheap compared to other kiwi restaurant and bar types, so a good place to eat! We will be back to try the pasta and hopefully the dessert if we are not too full from the main!

We had a pleasant night at Indian Sumner. The food was tasty, however none of us were asked for the spice level we wanted which some of the crew found interesting. No Kingfisher Strong was available (a cardinal sin to some if us). The service was friendly but they seemed to struggle with dealing with a large group. Overall a good night and enjoyable food.

Great website, ordered via phone for takeaway, good service. Had butter chicken, quite authentic taste and naan authentic texture. Very satisfied. Not for dining from what i saw, but a couple tables are supplied so is a possibility. Very good.

Absolutely special time at Beat Street! While miss beautiful French Yves, so happy to see barrista Sam! I love his great coffee, topped off with delicious froth, darling… What more could a woman want?

I was told by a work colleague that I should try this new restaurant as it was so good and off we went. The food was utterly amazing, some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, the service was great and we will be going there regularly from now on to try out the rest of the menu. I had the pad thai and my partner had the ribs, both were perfect – and I don’t even like coriander! The only thing that I would change is the hand water for the ribs, it was cold and its always good to have it warm. But something like that is so trivial it doesn’t detract from a 5 star rating.

We ate here 2 weeks ago, one of the best Chinese meals we’ve had in a long time. The service was very fast considering the restaurant was packed out. The only down side was that it was very noisy. We would go back but later in the evening.

Just had our first meal at Curry Time. One of the best curries we’ve had in Christchurch. The staff were very helpful and polite. The service was great, just the right amount of time between courses. The food was served on HOT plates, almost unheard of in restaurants these days. We will certainly be going again.

Excellent meal at new location in Manchester Street!!! Great service, beautifully presented tasty food. Lovely modern, yet authentic restaurant. Able to use the Entertainment card – bonus! BYO wine – even better. TOP WORK, TOP KAPI!!! SUPPORT THE CITY’S RESTAURANTS!!
