Went here for lunch today with a table of 6. To start with wait staff were friendly. Our meals took ages to come and when they did they were cold. We had simple meals, seafood chowder, salad and vege stack. Advised the wait staff they were cold and they apologised and took away. The meals came back a few minutes later, it was very obvious they had been microwaved as there was a skin on the soup and veges tough. Wait staff came to see how meals were said still cold and obvious been microwaved, she asked do we want to speak to manager, we said it wasn’t good enough the quality of the meals and I would have thought that was a given, never saw the manager and never asked when paying how meals were. The food here is usually faultless but definitely not today. A coffee at our table that was ordered with the mains took longer to come that the reheated mains. Very disappointed, the place was not busy and there was alot of wait staff on.

Absolutely special time at Beat Street! While miss beautiful French Yves, so happy to see barrista Sam! I love his great coffee, topped off with delicious froth, darling… What more could a woman want?

Just had our first meal at Curry Time. One of the best curries we’ve had in Christchurch. The staff were very helpful and polite. The service was great, just the right amount of time between courses. The food was served on HOT plates, almost unheard of in restaurants these days. We will certainly be going again.

Truly an amazing place been there several times had many special moments there when Ive traveled down from Dunedin. The food there is incredible no place better, with reasonable size meals even on they Light Fare Menu. Be ready to join in and sing Happy Birthday with everyone . As I traveled from Dunedin I’m amazed they always remembered me and always a warm welcome. Truly a place ill always remember and special moments there with someone special in my Heart

In general the food was OK. However the service by the Maitre d’ was appalling. I don’t think I have ever had such rude service anywhere ever and the group of 12 I was with were completely gobsmacked at the attitude and behaviour of this particular person. I will not be going back to this place unless there is a change in Maitre d’.

We took a party of seven for Mothers Day lunch, enjoyable setting looking over the 18 green. Although a small lunch menu everyone found something to their liking and food was very good. Desserts fantastic as well. I bit of a wait for the mains but overall the service was of a high quality. Definitely going back.

We went to The Brickworks on 12 May 2012 two of us ordered the venison Ossco Bucco, the meat was dry and full of gristle and tasted nothing like any venison we have ever had, if it it was a blind tasting we would have said it was very bad oxtail not properly cooked. The other two meals were satisfactory. Do not say something is venison when it is not.

Food was nice enough but I was extreamely dissapointed after paying nearly $30 for my meal I was not able to take a doggy bag home when I had only eaten half. I had another experience there a year ago where we were having drinks with family (Children included) and was told that this bar is “Not a kindergarten”
Very dissapointed Becks, wont be dining with you again

Great assett to the Redwood area, Have eaten in and had takeaways, nice modern comfortable interior and great food and service. Have no hesitation in recommending “Curry Time” – support the local Business !

Delicious food. Comfortably appointed restaurant , slightly disinterested staff. Small choice of wine by the glass, but definitely worth visiting for the food.

Visited twice, once on a Monday and again on a Thursday. Monday it was lovely, service was great, about 10 tables booked. Thursday was horrible. The waiters were at our table rubber necking all night. The food finally came, apricot sauce tasted like nothing we had tasted before, burnt rubber mess. All I asked for was the chicken wrapped in bacon with a handful of chips and a salad. But no, I received a plate full of fries a salad which consisted of three lettuce leaves one tomato slice and 2 slices of cucumber all drowned in salad dressing … they seem to grate beetroot over everything too. Chicken was lost amongst the fries, dry to the bone and not crispy but soggy underneath. If your after a nice night out head here on a Monday do not venture otherwise. Good for kids. Dont expect quality everytime

To Rustyfrog, I was also dining last night and was also appalled…. however my frustration was not towards the staff but was towards your table. The behaviour of your table was absolutely disgusting and frankly childish. I would think that adults would be able to cope with situations like ’late meals’ more appropriately, instead of having tantrums, swearing loudly and interupting other diners. We had a Delicious meal and my steak was cooked perfectly. I have visited Rosebank on many occasions this year and still would speak very highly of this venue. Later on I found out we had the same waitress at yours and I would like to personally thank her for her wonderful service, perhaps this table was just to hard to please??

We were in a party of 24 that “dined” at this place tonight. The booking was made 2 weeks prior and we would have thought that would have been enough warning! We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and it was than hour before orders were taken. Simple questions re vegetables and method of cooking of foods could not be answered by waitresses. Another 45 minutes before the entrees arrived and the wait staff had no idea who the meals were for. Another 45 minutes and the mains started to appear and once again no idea of who the meals were for. I don’t know if it was because of our complaints to the manager, but main meals were atrocious with cold pasta, under cooked steaks, raw vegetables. Not a good experience and so much for a special occasion. Management were not wanting to accept responsibility and one waitress was seen leaving the premises in a hurry and crying – maybe dismissed by management. The management has problems here and need keep there finger on the pulse. We have dined here before and thoroughly enjoyed it, but tonight was the worst “dining” experience I can remember – Anywhere!

Great service and most of the food was excellent, however I had the beetroot and orange salad but when I got my dish there was no orange flavour or orange pieces in it at all also lacked seasoning making it a bland taste and disappointing. Perhaps that is something that could be improved on for next time. Thank you for the opportunity to comment
