26/05/2012I had a reaction after eating the seafood chowder (which was very yummy) and had to go to hospital, but on returning there the next day and chatting to the manager he was more than helpful and showed great concern. He sat with my husband and I and went through each of the ingredients put into the chowder to help us determine what it may have been. We had enjoyed our meal the previous night and so had breakfast which was also yummy. The customer service I found good, despite being busy and the food come out quickly. I’m very glad to say the reaction had nothing in the end to do with the chowder and I will be returning for another bowl when I head in that direction again.

25/05/2012The decor is deceptive, the food and the people are lovely! Plenty of fresh vegetables and service is great. Vegetarian options available too. It’s healthy and affordable. The staff will kindly modify a meal if you wish. Highly recommended to thai cusine lovers. Waiting time is minimal for dine in or take away.

Karaka
25/05/2012I have very dear relations who live in Karaka. I live in Melbourne & have visited this restaurant several times. I am a little bemused at the comments it should cater all day (an all day breakfast..come on people)…this is a choice area & the meal I had last time was the veal & it was excellent..the service was good. Do we expect these people to keep staff on 24/7…try big macs if you want that or try an all day breakfast at the wharf. Problem with a lot of people is they want, but don’t understand how a business must run to stay open. If your visiting St Margaret’s, dint expect all day service or 24 hour whatever…be appreciative. Book & turn up on time & you will, from my experience, be happy. A happy Aussie here & I will return…but if the service has indeed lapsed, then I’ll tell all of you & them about it. MJS

22/05/2012The food is fantastic, shame about the service. I asked for a plain fluffy for my daughter, the person making the drinks put chocolate syrup across the top, and got very nasty when I clarified what i had ordered. I had a friend with me a she went to get a high chair for her son, the chair wouldn’t open, the straps where broken, and we found it was very awkeward trying to have a high chair up in such a tightly spaced cafe.

22/05/2012Each of the four of us had different meals, the service was OK, but slow. My tandoori chicken had hardly any taste to it. The rice was only just warm. It is over priced compared for what you get and what is on offer locally as well.

21/05/2012Turned up at 8:45pm on a Saturday night. Was surprised that a consultation was required with the kitchen as to whether or not food would be forthcoming. Having got the affirmative we were seated and in keeping with the tapa’s format a jug of Sangrur was ordered. It was swiftly delivered. As a couple we went for the six tapa’s for $66. After what seemed like only 5 minutes all six plates arrived. We would have preferred a more orderly arrival, but guessed that the kitchen was in a hurry on a quiet Saturday night to be elsewhere. In saying that all dishes bar the Cumin pattered egg plant were very tasty (the oil was to cold and as a result was very oily all the way through). The roasted Pumpkin was also a little ordinary but the other four dishes were lovely (Scallops, meatballs, pawns and rice balls). Just a pity that the growing population of Pukekohe doesn’t choose to support it’s local restaurants bit more and as a result the kitchen closes early than it should or I would imagine chooses to do so. Will give Poco Loco another go in the not to distant future. But have to wonder at their decision to not accept credit cards in this day and age, saving a couple of percent in transaction fees seems a little short slighted. The scribbled note on the communal bathroom door on how to lock the door is a little cheap to boot. But I get the feeling the owner/s are of the take it or leave it ike. But as I mentioned previously Poco Loco is certainly worth a visit but get there early rather than later.

21/05/2012hmmm, turned up on Sunday evening around 8pm. Had fond memories from a staff function a couple of years ago. Problem number one, had run out of the wife’s selection of wine – excuse was it was Sunday night and order’s not taken till Monday (in my mind you don’t run the stock to the point you don’t have any just because it’s Sunday). But OK, lets move on, ordered a couple of loafs of bread to get us started along with the entree’s and mains. Next disappointment my entree not available, same excuse as the wine – not happy. Ordered an alternative. 20 mins later, nothing has shown up and wondering why. About to mention it when the entree’s appear. Inquire as to the bread and was told these were coming with the entree’s – huh? The bread should have arrived before the entree’s. From this point things starting looking up, the entree’s were good although munching on garlic bread and Brazzar’s loaf (very good) was a little odd as we tucked into our entree’s. The mains arrived and were all cooked very nicely so no complains there. This is a family friendly restaurant that doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. Wine and Cocktail list is limited in keeping with its potential clientèle. My eye fillet steak ordered rare was exactly as expected. The general consensus was a good night out, spoilt only by the lack of availability of wine and entree’s. But despite the slip-ups in ensuring the Wine and food menu were available the service was good and for what it is I can’t complain to much. At just over the $200 mark for a couple of drinks each and no desert for four people it represents reasonable value for money. But would have got 4 stars if the menu had reflected the availability.

21/05/2012I have eaten here on several occasions, with business colleagues, and find the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is really nice and there is plenty of it. I do not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others.

19/05/2012My husband dinned at your restaurant tonight and what a treat. The staff were very polite and very help full, the food was very tasty, steak cooked just right, scollop’s were done to order and mouthwatering at that, however, the lady that was doing the chips(wearing the pink gloves) where the chef was cooking the steaks should not have any contact with her face or hair while having these cloves on, as they were directly having contact with food. All in all, I would recommend this very pleasant eating restaurant.

19/05/2012My daughter and I went to have dinner here two weeks ago, but ended up walking out. The service from the waitress was appalling!!! She should not be in a customer service role; she was rude and could not even manage a smile. I will tell all my friends to avoid this restaurant!!!

15/05/2012Very disappointed!
Everyone raves about this place and it was my first ever experience dining here, so had high expectations.
Went with a group, 3 meals were sent out wrong and not what people ordered, when they told waiter, he argued with them! so they ended up eating what they got – except for one pregnant friend who specifically asked not to have certain veges/ingredients in meal that she ordered and waiter argued and won! so this poor person swapped her meal with someone else
Won’t be going here again
My first and last time.

08/05/2012My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here this past weekend. The service was excellent and the food really good. I had the Cajun South Island Salmon fillet, which was superb. Hubby had a rare Rump Steak – cooked to perfection, he said. We would recommend Bazza’s for an enjoyable evening out. Thanks, Bazza’s staff and a special thank you to Adrian, the owner, for making us feel so welcome.
