This is our very favourite place to go! Whether its for a movie/wine and a delicious platter or brunch and coffee I could not recommend them more highly Food great! Coffee consistently good! Staff fantastic! Movie theatre’s are devine to kick back and relax and watch a good quality movie. People you must GO. This is Manawatu’s best kept secret

We have dinned here a couple of times. Food always very good, how ever service last night was lacking spark. Overall atmosphere is good. The Irish barman was very friendly. To many staff appeared to be hanging around talking. Overall was a good dinning experience.

Essence Cafe

My partner and I decided to go out and celebrate a work promotion at Essence in the last week. Service was average but was let down by a few things. We ordered a starter which was out of the whole experience amazing, then followed through to our steak meals which were appalling, over cooked parsnip, potato bake i could have made at home, silver beet, carrots topped with a steak that i wouldn’t even consider feeding my dog all wrapped up with the saltyest “jus”. Not to mention the hair that was nestled deep within the “jus. All this could have been acceptable if the restaurant was busy and the prices weren’t so ridiculously high for the quality of food. Will not be returning!

Great pub/restaurant. Easy to find, nice and spacious. Restaurant was kind of separated from the bar area which we liked. Not too noisy. Had a woodfired pizza each and they were fabulous. Good menu with plenty to choose from.

Lovely, spacious cafe. Easy to find, bright and clean with lovely food. Had breakfast here with my family and we all enjoyed our ‘big breakfast’. Good coffee and great friendly service. Would recommend.
