Nice quiet cafe, good friendly staff. Reasonable food, but I think it’s a bit pricey for the portion of food. Always clean and tidy.

Went here with my partner for a nice dinner last Friday evening & wow it was a real treat. The staff were fantastic & the 3 course set menu we had was delicious, full of flavour & incredible presentation you could tell the chef took real pride in putting everything together. The premises has plenty of character to it & I have no hesitation in recommending to other dinners, we’ll definitely be back A+ Fisher House:)

Stopped in for a takeaway coffee after seeing the reviews on here and was quite happy with it. Friendly girl on the front counter with a brilliant smile, even first thing in the morning! I must say the cabinet food wasnt all labelled, they had a gluten free slice on the same plate as a regular slice, and did not offer coffee cards. The place was also quite hard to find but I would go back and recommend to others

Service was good, nice kiwi girl out the front on the counter & coffees. Got a takeaway coffee which wasn’t bad considering I’m a barista & pretty hard to please. Cabinet food didn’t look fresh, but I didn’t buy anything so can’t fairly comment. Good location & parking

Having looked forward to our weekend away we were very disappointed by the experience we had here. We had previously enjoyed a really nice evening last July. What a change this time round. No one else in despite 2 reserved tables. We ordered and ate which was adequate however out evening was spoilt by an over zealous waitress/Maitre’d who seemed on a mission to get rid of us so that she could go home. At one point she was dragging my lovely wifes plate as she took her last mouthful. The atmosphere was rude and lacking in any hospitality. Such a shame as the place used to be so nice How this place has gone downhill. No wonder the locals do not frequent it. Did we return on the Saturday night as we planned? No we did not. We had lunch at Jolly rogers instead where we at least felt welcome. Advice to staff. Might get home early that once but at what cost in the long run. We won’t be back

This is not a very good Cafe at all, I have had a lot of food from here as we work very close by, when the Cafe first opened and the young couple had it the food was really great but now with the new people, boy they need to get a new Chef or someone who can mange the place better. I had to wait while someone was having a disagreement out in the kitchen and a lady came out to do my coffee she never spoke and the coffee I tipped out after the first two month fulls. The food looked like it had been frozen and thawed about three or four times. Not a good look for the food. To have a Cafe you should know how to make coffee BOY it was bad!!!!

These are the most amazing burgers I have ever had, I’ve come back time and time again just to try all the different types! Which is really saying something because there is a very vast selection of options. They also have great coffee, I have yet to find a place that surpasses the quality of the coffee here. I live in the city and kitchenette is always worth the trip! If only they would open one more centrally :c

Coffee 10/10, Date Scone 10/10, Food Display 10/10, Staff Service 10/10. Lucky us in East Tamaki to have a top class Cafe to visit. Excellent !!! Food selection is amazing, seating is comfortable and relaxing with a sunny outlook amongst the busy office/factory scene. Parking is very “user friendly” and caters for any size vehicle. A great place to enjoy good food.

Went for Sunday breakfast on the recommendation of a friend. As our family is from the food industry it is difficult for us to go out to eat and be entirely happy. However, we loved it. The menu was great ( a little different from most other places) the service pleasant and prompt and the coffee fabulous. Thanks everyone at Urban Soul, you all rock.

Delicious! Burgers are eat-in or takeaway, bout the same price as the other gourmet burger chains but yummier, though similar simple decor to those chains! There are the standard flavours (beef, chicken, vegetarian) or try the Moroccan Chicken burger if you like delicious spices or the Portobello burger if you like blue cheese and red onion relish. Looks like most of the meat is free range if possible. Gluten free buns also available for a dollar extra. Yum! Also is a cafe and has allpress coffee and a good looking range of slices/cakes and some breakfast options.

I read all the reviews on this site before deciding to go, wish I had listened. I grew up in Maraetai and decided to go back there for my Birthday dinner with family. It was exactly what everyone has said on here, and worse. There were about 5 tables in total, we sat near the window and were attended quickly. Straight away we were told there was no Chicken or duck left and only 2 pieces of Salmon (how do you run out of Chicken breast?!?). We ordered antipasto platters for starters and they were OK, nothing special, but how hard is it to get that wrong. For mains we ordered 2 steaks, 2 salmon, 1 mussel pot. The steaks were cooked very well, good medium-rare, but they put about 100g of butter, so much that it covered the entire meat, melted down and now covered the whole plate. The salmon’s were cooked to death, as white as paper, and the mussel’s were underwhelming. Worse overall was the potato bake which was uncooked, completely raw in the middle, and absolutely inedible. We showed the waitress, she apologised and offered 2 new ones, we declined and walked out laughing. Overall it was very sad, I wanted so badly for the restaurant to be a nice meal at my favourite place in Auckland – instead it was terrible in every aspect. Don’t go! When will Maraetai get a descent restaurant?!

The staff are lovely, the food is good and reasonably priced. There are also menu’s that they cook freshly for you, all day breakfasts through to meals, including burgers and toasted sandwhiches. Lighting could do with a bit of work and so could the decal, but the kai is fresh and yummy.

This is a nice little cafe with lots of different choices available for lunch. I found my Eggs Benedict very yummy, although maybe not the best one I’ve had. My hot chocolate was yummy too. However, the pancakes that my boyfriend ordered were a bit tough and not that great. Overall we had a good experience, and I might come back one day to try a different dish.

i know for a fact that palazzo cafe is the most amazing place to go relax and dine. there food are extremely good, well cooked and freshly made. also you cant resist but just have there amazing coffees. so i believed that palazzo cafe have the best performance of customers service and customer care. well done
