27/05/2012Rubbery fish cakes, bland dumplings that had hot water ooze out when bitten and very small portion of chicken panang curry and rice, have never had a main so small before, ripped off, can’t believe they had the cheek to serve us food like that, we left hungry and peeved off that we paid for such a disappointing excuse for a meal.

23/05/2012Service and excellence is extremely important to us. Correct, this is what I have witnessed & done with the most pleasant of attributes, a beautiful smile. The food presentation I witmnessed was near perfection, salivating it was – cannot wait till I am in Blenheim again & hungry. Well done Teresa. Keep up the great work. kb

18/05/2012What we thought was going to be a pleasant dining experience turned out to be disappointing and a waste of money, Kumara Stack was undercooked, slimey, brown and had obviously Been grated the day before. Bacon was over cooked and too salty. I was tempted to send it back, and that is a first for me. I only hate half of my meal.
My partner had the corn and feta fritter stack, sounds good yes?? NO… more flour that corn and feta?? none to be seen. The salsa if you can call it that. Salsa=mangled onion and tomato. Also once again the bacon was overcooked. Would never go back there again.

16/05/2012they used to have consistency issues with food and service but the last few times we’ve been over the last year show that both these have improved vastly. Excellent options,well cooked and presented with pretty good service added makes for a pleasant evening. An improvement would be table clothes; wooden table with water makes and a bit of peeling varnish not a good look for this type of establishment. Oh, and turbitt can’t be a ‘locally line caught fish’ can it??? but small points in the scheme and will return

08/05/2012yip, best fish’n'chips for a long time. have been 3 times in last 4 months and consistently very good service and product. cooked hot enough so that the foods not too oily – comes out crisp and moist. for us old schoolers getting real shark (rig) and tatties is a plus (plus the odd oyster!).

28/04/2012came over to Blenheim to check out another cafe, but fortunately for us it was closed and we found you instead. My Mum and I had Bacon & Eggs and the Kumara & Avocado stack. You can’t please everyone as Mum thought her eggs were too cooked (but they were how I like them) but generally were a little overcooked, also bacon a little crispy (but again, some like it like that), people are so hard to please! Kumara stack I think was a teeny undercooked, but packed with flavour and presented well, and delivered quickly considering we arrived 20 min after the menu ended and the chef/kitchen staff agreed to prepare something off the menu, which we felt shutting off at 12pm on a saturday was a little early considering after we sat down probably at least another 20 people came in and would have bought higher value meals given the chance. The service was friendly and accommodating. I didn’t see a highchair (nor did I ask for one), staff were busy so just used the buggy. I would visit again without hesitation, a fresh, contemporary cafe with a great menu selection of all your usual cafe suspects and a few ones to tempt the tastebuds away from the ordinary. Keep up the good work.
