Pelorus Cafe is a gem! Beautiful food,coffee and great service! Lovely people who bend over backwards to please you. The custard squares are absolute heaven and in my opinion the best in the Top of the South! Huge and creamy-a true slice of heaven.

This is by far the best restaurant in Blenheim. It serves PROPER Italian food (none of this pizza junket), has great service and a great atmosphere. We have eaten here several times in the last 8 months, and while the decor might be quaint, the food and service is always outstanding. They even managed to fit us in on a busy Saturday night without a booking. Blenheim is a cliquey little town with few good places to eat, but this is one of the best & is better than most places you’d find in a bigger city.

Watery Mouth is becoming one of our favourite places for brunch. So far have had the steak sandwich, BLAT & kumara stack. WMC were awesome enough to make me a delicious strawberry milkshake with soy milk today, and the food was again outstanding. One of the stand-out cafes in Blenheim.

Booked a table for a small group, staff said that we didn’t need to book and now I know why. . .no one is game enough to go there. What a run down dirty place this has become. It was 5:30pm and we tried to order some food but most things on the menu were unavailable apparently due to a rush of customers prior to us arriving. . .what a joke. . .anyway, we asked for 2 starters to share between us, 3 cheese hot pot. . .1 word “yuck”. . . . bread, dips and dukkah, where was all the bread? I went to ask for more and we got some ordinary mixed grain toast sliced with parsley sprinkled over top and cut in half. . . they had run out of nice bread! then we noticed that there was no dukkah, they had run out of this too and thought we wouldn’t notice. So we start complaining and was offered a free drink each, should have stuck with a corona but asked for a bottle of bubbly instead. . .20 minutes later the waiter puffed up to our table explaining that he had run to the supermarket to by the wine. Finally a comment about the mains. . they were all crap, crappy food, crappy place and crappy staff, we left disappointed and flippen angry.
