The food was so amazing! Best Indian food ever. Only problem was the staff and the table. Might want to fix/get rid of that one person table you pass off as a table for two shoved up against the wall near the door, and maybe train your staff a bit better. They were very nice but forgot my drink order twice. Still, I would come back, but will sit outdoors next time.

We have enjoyed many meals at Krauts and congratulate them on their new premises which have a welcoming atmosphere and great ambience. The staff are friendly, attentive and polite at all times, and the flavours that they put together on the plate are simply awesome and presented well. Went Sunday evening with friends for a meal. The atmosphere was great, and the restaurant was quite busy. The meal was lovely and the waitress Naomi was attentive, friendly and helpful. We used a grabone voucher and it didn’t make any difference to the service we received. We will definitely go back!

We were here for dinner with a large group a few weeks ago. Sadly the food was average at best. The pasta dish was high on chili and oil and low on garlic and parmesan and several of the shrimps still had their poo-shoots in which was really un-appetising. My husband described the burger as something he’d expect to eat in a pub, not a restaurant. The so called “golden syrup pudding” was just terrible, a big lump of dough with no golden syrup and a weird chai tea liquid poured over top and very strangely topped with sunflower seeds. The service was prompt and friendly, but overall I wouldn’t return.

I am an Aussie tourist & intend to try this Shop as was recommended by quite a few friends who went touring by car around the South island. Still looking for the rail tunnel running under the alps from east to west visa versa. I need someone to direct me next time. cheers Nico.

Went out to Harringtons beer café for dinner tonight food was not bad service I would have to say could have been a lot better after finishing our mains we were left to wait some 20 mins before the waitress asked if we ad finished and did we want to see the dessert menu had to wonder how long before someone was going to come back and take our dessert order to my surprise was reasonably quick told her what we would like, from then on it went down hill further we sat their for over 25 minutes waiting for our dessert they keep looking over at our table but no-one bothered to come over and even clear away our empty glasses, in the end my husband said we are not going to wait any longer and went up to pay and told the waitress to take the dessert of the bill and when she asked why we said we have waiting to long all night and we didn’t even get our dessert the waitress who had taken our dessert order had not even put the dessert order down. Waitress even said good choice to choose the fudge cake, I didn’t get the opportunity to try it. Disappointing meal out probably would not go back.
