Got takeaways from here tonight. The stir fried rice noodles with seafood was a sloppy mess I am not sure there was any seasoning but water it was in edible I would not give it to my dog. The chicken vermicelli was also not seasoned but at least it wasn’t sloppy. I am definitely not going back.

I have been having lunch once a month at Tokyo for the last 5 years and it has always been perfect. Super reasonable prices and great food. I highly recommend the simple Tokyo lunchbox at lunchtime and the diner menu is really excellent, a bit more pricy as you would expect but more sophisticated, truly great!

Terrible terrible service. Food quality was no better either. I went for dinner on a Thursday night, and the place seemed rather quiet. Although I had read about poor service on here before, I thought I’d give it a try as I wasn’t using a voucher of any kind. Worst decision ever – the scotch fillet I ordered was so small I could have finished it in two bites and it was so elastic and hard to chew. My partner had the venison which was no better too – I had a bite and it reeked of an unpleasant odour. Needless to say, we will not be returning and will definitely NOT recommend this place, not even our worst enemies.

WOW had gr8 chicken &cream cheese Pizza with side order of chips. Pizza had heaps of chicken and cheese Was HOT fresh 100%. Wait was OK, next time phone in order. Remember things that are GR8 take time.Have bought pizzas most fri nights for last 20years and have changed many times, this has been a good change as they have GR8 selection of pizzas and other foods.

One of the best Italian Restaurants I have been to. The food is always superb, two portion sizes, and the mains are big. The service attentive and friendly (Italian staff), the prices incredibly reasonable, and it’s always packed with locals – always a good sign. Try the Sausage and Blue Cheese Gorgonzola – devine. And it’s in Devonport – what more could you ask for?

Amazing food, excellent service – a really lovely evening out. The best roast dinner I’ve ever had and the Tiramisu is to die for! Thoroughly recommend a visit to this great restaurant.

Hindsight is wonderful thing and believe me l wish l had practiced what l preach. I can’t award it any stars because there are no minuses. From the moment we arrived ( As l am sure many must know this ) It was a case of O.K doesn’t look the best but hey lets not be judgmental. Our initial judgment was confirmed within the first mmm…. 30seconds. We couldn’t book because the mailbox was full, we phoned 4 times and again got the same reply. We decided to turn up and to a very quiet end of cheap shop area found the Grill. I handed over our voucher to the reply of … wait … you haven’t booked. I explained we tried .. many times and the mailbox thing. In my opinion they are definitely using that as an excuse, over and over. On to the meals. They had just sold the last eye fillet ( in an almost empty place (cant call it a restaurant). The steak we ordered were Pepper and Mushroom steaks. They were the SMALLEST STEAKS WE HAVE EVER SEEN IN OUR LIVES!…. EVER! The gravy was packet the chips overdone an the salad, lettuce carrot and a bit of cucumber on top. HELLO!! We did have desert on our voucher but could not bring ourselves to stay for that and escaped as soon as we could. By the way they are not licensed. The upshot is the water is the best part of our experience, it came from a tap and they had no part of making it. Review on an emotional level scale CRAP .. CRAP … CRAP. I have embarrased myself by buying something which was l trusted was the description given and found to be totally the opposite. For anyone viewing this .. Take heed! I wish l had view the previous comments.

Topped off a perfect afternoon in Castor Bay. Beautiful cakes which we enjoyed outside- an amazing sun trap! Very clean and great for the kids too. I’ll def be telling my mum to come here if she ever visits the area as she would love the gluten free options. Would def recommend this place.

Have been told the food is good, haven’t eaten here yet just tried the beer. Recommend the Leprechaun’s Belle and the cider is the best I’ve found in NZ! Went on a Monday night and it was lovely and quite – I would assume it gets pretty busy with a game on. Nice to find decent beer at last

Best coffee I’ve tasted in quite a while. Nice to soak up the sun while my boys played in the kids room. I felt very welcome, and loved the homemade muffins. I’ll be back.

First visit to Castor Sugar and will be back, fab relaxed atmosphere. Homemade soups and cakes were awesome. Looking forward to heading down at the weekend to sample breakfast.

A very confusing experience and not very clear on what’s the score in this place. We nearly left after having stood for ages like a couple of dorks looking around trying to figure what’s the deal with cones or cups or prices per scoop etc. Lovely to sit out beachside at the back in the courtyard area and the gelato and coffee were great but still not sure I’d be in that much of a rush to return.

Have since been back to The Merchant (twice) and have been pleasantly surprised, food is good, and service, outstanding. It’s amazing what good service can do for a place. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely brilliant. The staff were great, the surroundings awesome and the food really good. Would definitely go again, well worth it. Also really good if you sit outside for dinner, the sunset would be great on a clear day.

We went for the $35 for a 3-course meal + house wine. VERY VERY pleased with our money’s worth. This establishment really works hard for your money. Food was good (steak wrapped with bacon), dessert was yummy (I had the tiramisu)… even the wine was impressive (Matua’s Pinot noir) – they have quite a range 
Service was great – really pleased with this place. Highly recommended!

This is an awful awful awful place. We’ve been calling since last week to get a reservation -but no confirmation provided whatsoever (despite leaving countless of voicemail messages). So we took a ride there just to check the place out. Why am I not surprised that it’s actually CLOSED despite the day/times at the front saying that it should be open? This is a scam of a business!

I really like this restaurant, really nice food there is a really nice male waiter, might be a manager (lots of cool wrist jewellery) he made the experience better, again awesome service. However I’ve been there four times and three of those times we had this tall browned haired lady who is soooooooo overbearing and the last time just rude, if I approach this restaurant and see her serving, I will just turn around and go… such a shame because the food is great!!!!

We have Always been very happy with this place, nice friendly staff with a good sense of dry humor, good pub meals and, good beers. the previous person must have been extremely unlucky. We will definitely continue to come back

Has always been a very god and reliable Subway, nice “tidy” subs just the right amount of what you want, and always friendly and quick service they have got it right. Highly recommended Subway. good place for a sandwich

Tried this place 5 times during the years (was hoping for improvements) but, always messy and soggy subs. slobby service Not recommended, there are a lot better subways around. Both, Mobil Wairau Road and Link Drive are highly recommended
