Came here a few months ago with a voucher for Bunny Chow. And it was AMAZING! I asked for the hot mutton bunny chow, and my husband asked for the medium. It was absolutely delicious!! The flavour was so full and left me craving for more the next day. You have to order the bunny chow a day in advance. But try this place, as it is so delicious!

The staff seem to be friendly, but you can get better Indian “cuisine” in a foodcourt for half the price. Most of the chicken in the dishes seems to be just fat, and was horrible to try to eat. The rice is alright.

I have rated the restaurant very highly as i have tasted the authentic Indian food specially Butter chicken,and the Tandoori platter that was served early was very tasty and the sweet mango Lassie in the end made the whole dinner very enjoyable and hence 5 points that the restaurant deserved keep up the good work and the uniqueness compared to other Indian restaurants oops i forgot to mention the Nan which were crispy too. Worst restaurant.Drove all the way from manukau after making a booking to be told no table is free.The owner made us wait for 40 minutes and when we advised him to cancel our booking not even said sorry and has a as if I care attitude!Would have given 0 if there was one in the rating!

Wow wow wow consistent, delicious, fresh, spicy, flavourful what more can I say Swaad is the best Indian cuisine take away I have ever eaten from. Friendly service and the food is piping hot and done perfectly every-time. The meat “beef,chicken” is tender and filled with flavour. Swaad is one of the very few places I know that take extreme pride in hygiene thanks for providing me with the best curries ever. 
PS: Wish I had found them years ago.

I have been going to Aroma for years its absolutely amazing the food there is great especially the chicken towa, good quality and quantity offered. The staff there are great and friendly, Its a nice environment for the whole family. I would recommend Aroma for those who haven’t tried it yet.

Have been there some times for take aways and dinner. Last time in March the “Tandoori Salad” (Chicken Tikka tossed with fresh seasonal vegetables and spices, served with mint sauce) was really bad and worst presentation ever. Totally overpriced for $22 as a take away. Shame, that place is going down in quality and service.

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a restaurant meal on Anzac Day. We decided to go to Bolliwood, Takapuna.(was Palace of India). We were pleasantly surprised that there was no 15% surcharge (it was a public holiday). Also, they only charged us $10 for each main. Apparently they charge this Mon to Wed. The service was excellent, with the staff comming around to ask how the meal was and if we needed help several times. As for the meal, well it was one of the most tasty Indian meals I have had. The quantities were more than sufficient. We did not have to wait very long. I ordered the special curry and my wife ordered the lamb roganjosh. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be going back. Even the prices for the rest of the week were very reasonable when compared to other restaurants.

Really impressed with this place. We eat Indian cuisine regularly and when we moved to Beach Haven last year we tried the Indian from the previous owners (can’t recall name) and we were not impressed…BUT the new Curry Sutra have come to the party, finally excellent curries in the Haven at last. Their Butter Chicken, Mango Chicken & Naan all really delicious! Highly recommend.
