Took Ma and Pa out for a Mothers Day treat with my partner, for dinner on a Saturday night, we booked, and luckily we did – as it was fairly busy. The young waitress was hugely helpful – though, did not pour our BYO wine which was odd, she did however spy we had bubbles with us and supplied us with flutes which was nice. The four of us had bread/dips and three entrees to share… all entrees were amazing, the squid was delightful and in particular the pork/prawn combo was amazing… the duck salad was good too according to Pa. Four mains order ranging from fish of the day, a chicken curry and 2 steaks medium. All food was very nicely cook and myself and partner could not fault the steak. Veges on the side were fabulous too. Ma and Partner had puddings, both excellent. Wow, I do hope Quince keeps up the good work, finally somewhere worth going to for a treat night out in Warkworth!!! Really happy. I’ll definately give Quince another go. Have not been for breaky/lunch, but would highly recommend the dinner menu, and being BYOW is a real help for the budget, four adults well fed for $210. I’m pleased!!

Went here for breakfast yesterday not only was it amazingly expensive for the amount of food we got, we had to stop at McDonald’s on the way back to the motel because the kids were starving. $9.90 for 1 piece of french toast, a drizzle of maple syrup and a bit of cream, never again. We had to share our breakfast with the kids and still make a stop for more food. Our amazing dinner at a wonderful restaurant in Orewa the night before had cost less than this breakfast and we were all chocka by the time we had finished it.

If I could get away with no stars on this review then I certainly would! Disgraceful service from what should be a glorious place to sit and have afternoon tea. This little cafe has a captive audience from the people that disembark the ferry cruises as there is no other cafe in the vicinity. Shame the staff have such bad attitudes and really bad taste in music. They were playing what I thought would be more suitable for a teenage clothing shop (and I’m only 30 something:-) so not too old, but this was quite out of place!) We were also treated like “Stupid Tourists” as we have English accents….. we are residents of New Zealand and have been for some time thank you. Please don’t assume….. All in all, like Trudy P said…. take a picnic! There are some lovely places along the trails with picnic tables and benches to take your picnic and look out over the scenic views.

I took my mum and my two girls to lunch on Mothers Day, the food was fantastic but the service was bad. 2 of our meals came 20 mins before the other two arrived so they had nearly finished when we had just started ours!!!!. We went to order dessert and coffee and they told us we couldnt as they needed our table for another group, I had pre booked and not just walked in off the street, Ive never had that experience before so much for supporting local Orewa I was very disappointed:(

Lovely location, but such rude staff! Had to wait for ages until they had finished sitting down to their own afternoon tea before they would serve us with ours. They could do with a lesson in spelling for the menu too! If you are going to Kawau Island, I would take a picnic and a flask of tea! The saving grace was Solo the peacock, at least he was very friendly.

Had brunch here yesterday. We all thought (there were four of us) that this was one of the nicest breakfasts we have had. The eggs benedict were cooked to perfection, there was plenty of bacon – it was nice and crisp, and the coffee was beautifully presented and stayed nice and hot. The mozaic caramel slice is yummy. We will definitely be back.

First timer to Blossoms and was very nice, nice size portion I got and fresh ingredients used, staff weren’t all that friendly but scenery made up for it, got to sit in the sun outside and they did have high chairs (bonus) Likely to return in future .:-)

I’d describe this cafe as Vanilla. Plain. Nothing flash. Food ok, nothing spectacular. Husband ordered scrambled eggs and bacon, was LOADS of eggs but not much bread. I had BLAT which was, ok. Nothing to write home about. we also ordered a side of fries which came in a super salty seasoning. Chicken seasoning maybe? Whatever it was, too much. While it wasn’t the most horrendous experience, I don’t think I’ll be back.
