Worst restaurant I have ever been to in Tauranga! Myself and partner have just returned from CSB very disappointed, we arrived at CSB and were seated very quickly, unfortunately that was the end of the service we got, after a while our order was taken for drinks, then a while later our food order was taken. When our meals arrived they were very small (steak diane & pasta of the day. The pasta had no flavour what so ever and tasted disgusting. The steak was cooked well but for a sirlion steak very chewy. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks, and our view from our table was of the very grumpy chef. Will never return to CSB, and will not recommend to others

An absolutely yummy experience! Four of us shared 3 large pizzas and were stuffed with plenty to take home. The flavours were delicious and so many to choose from – both classics and quirky. Would fully recommend AJO’s for a low key and satisfying feed.

The Boulevard has done a complete turnaround lately and we’re impressed. The food is top class and equal to anything at Mount Maunganui. The prices are a little more, but are also in line with the best restaurants at the Mount. Hey, it’ so nice to have a local where we can trust that the food will be excellent and where we can take our friends and family and know it will be a great night. Thanks Boulevard for getting it right.

We came down from Auckland for the weekend and decided to try Harbourside on Saturday evening. It was fantastic! It was a pity it wasn’t summer as it is in a beautiful setting right by the water. Nevertheless, we had great mains, delicious desserts and very, very good service from our waitress. The restaurant was busy but the time between courses was perfect. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional. We will definitely visit again.

Had a lovely experience here Thursday night. Ordered a Pizza, garlic bread Greek salad. All delicious and fresh. Was a very busy night so the wait was a little longer than usual probably but it was an acceptable wait time. Staff were friendly but very busy, could have done with more waitresses.

Have had many pleasant experiences at this restaurant. I go back over and over and often suggest Taste of Asia to others. The CURRY PUFFS are to die for, and the chicken sweet and sour soup for entree is amazing too. Service is always great. Food is always fresh and has so much depth in flavour. Great prices. Decor could be more authentic and a bit more welcoming.

Fantastic food. Great service. Clean and tidy restaurant. Great price. They offer 10% off takeaway orders. Butter chicken is divine. Often dine here and have always been impressed. Authentic Indian food in a nice quiet part of town so no hassle to find parking.

Was really looking forward to my first dining out experience in The Mount. A group of six discerning diners. Firstly the service was very slow, took us going up to prompt the bar to actually get out drinks order which we had patiently waited to arrive. We then had to ask for the menus. (The restaurant was not at capacity) and we were not told that they were running low on some items, until we were about to place our order. The eye fillet we ordered was two thin bits of not sure what meat stacked on top of each other (out of the 3 ordered – only one came cooked as requested – one had been totally cooked to dead) super disappointing for the price as well. The entrée we ordered of scallops which was suppose to be seared were insipid looking (not even a hint of golden brown on them) and they tasting like they had been stewed in dish washing water – my friend and I were sharing the $23 entrée, we had one each and could not eat the rest. unfortunately I was not at the table when they cleared the entrees ( my dining partners had politely said things were fine) obviously when a plate with 3/4 of it left on it was there, things were not fine. The garlic bread was soaked only with butter and not much hint of garlic. The only two dishes that were good were the wedges (which I am surprised were on the menu) The rack of lamb was cooked as requested and had good distinctive flavours. We didn’t dare to order desserts as the meals as a whole had been a complete let down. so our bill of not quite $500 (two bottles of wine counted for $140) made it a complete dining flop. They did take the scallop entrée off after I went up and basically refused to pay – So we won’t be back and just hope the rest of the restaurants at the Mount are just even a slightly bit better.

this is a little gem. great selection of food – traditional favourites, and a good vegetarian range) There are a few tables inside and a lovely garden outside which is an oasis from the bustle of mount cafes. Don’t expect fancy, come here to enjoy excellent coffee, and traditional home cooking. It isn’t flash, but is homely and relaxing – it is like visiting Nana’s house.

What a fantastic cafe. Had the tapas menu with my husband and a friend on Saturday night…first visit and it was truely wonderful…the tuna, the squid, all the seafood succulent and delicious – all the dishes were very fresh and beautifully presented. My husband and our friend said the meat dishes were cooked to perfection.Friendly staff and a great evening. We will be back next time we are in Tauranga.

Wow went to CSB on Saturday for dinner they were clearly busy nice food, was greeted with a smile as we walked to the moment we paid at the bar with another smile from the bar lady so no doubt the service was good there was a bit of a wait on food which was understandable BUT! We felt so uncomfortable in the restaurant, the chef looked angry and that god awfull bell he kept dinging so loud we jumped every time we heard it we were sitting right by the kitchen and could hear everything and we were appalled by how rude he was to the waitresses that came up to take the food and heard someone saying stupid b**tch!!! It was so uncomfortable I told a friend and was told the chef here is the owner!! How disgusting!!

This would have to be the best dinning experience I’ve had in New Zealand !!! The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and always on hand to serve you. I also found the price very very reasonable for the quality I highly recommend this fine dinning establishment

Went there for Mother’s Day and even though they had a set menu it took almost an hour to get any food, we were put in the sun and struggled with the sun reflecting off the white tables into our eyes. We had to keep asking for water refills. They were under staffed, when I went to the bar to order wine I was told to hang on as they were to busy. This restaurant use to be amazing, since a change of ownership it is really sad to see it going this way! So much potential!!

Lovely building, great that they cater for children with the playground however a waitress growled my daughter for touching a display that was right at her eye level. The customer service there was really bad, had to wait 30 minutes in a line to order and when the food comes out the waitresses just stand and call out. I won’t be going back. Sad as it has so much potential!

I was appalled to read so many negative reviews about this restaurant! We have frequented Blue for years and have found the venue, service, food and wine to be of world class standard. Yesterday we sat on the deck, which lends itself to be as romantic as you would like and enjoyed the stunning view over the sea and of the mount on a perfect autumn day. We both agreed (as we have both travelled overseas extensively) you couldn’t find anything as good as Blue anywhere else in the world for the prices you pay here! A Big THANK YOU to all the staff who have always taken care of us in a very friendly, efficient manner during our times at Blue. Great Japanese food. My daughter wanted Tempura for her birthday so we came here. Fantastic food kids – the food was really good. Kids had tempura, sushi, rice and miso – verdict from my son – “you could go to lots of places and not get a miso as good as this”. We got Bento Boxes – ordered large- they were huge! Mine was sashimi which was perfectly fresh, and came with edamame, rice, salad, pickles and lots of tempura – could not finish! Free green tea, lovely attentive staff – and always a good sign when the other diners are Japanese. Give them a try

Went to The Boulevard today for Mother’s Day lunch. I had the special pasta. I have to say, it was one of the most delicious pasta dishes I have EVER had!! Seriously scrummy and the staff were super friendly and very attentive. Everyone finished their meals and were happy. We will definitely be going back as this is an awesome, well laid out bar and restaurant.

Ivory Bar was easy to relax in and I will definitely be back! Wonderful warm atmosphere, enjoyed the live lounge music. Super cosy sitting in front of the fire place, friendly service and efficient wait staff. Great wine and delicious cheese platter.

Went to Osteria da Gino for an early Mother’s Day dinner for mum. The fire going made a cold night warm. What a great looking restaurant. The staff where wonderful helping with all our fussy requirements. The food and service where excellent. Thanks for helping to make our mums day fantastic.
