We often come to Ohope for our breks and during the holidays we brought some American friends with us and all of us went to eat at Sea Thai restarant-Well the food was deliciousand beautifuuly presented and arrived in a very timely manner considering the size of our party-20 people-in fact we came 3 times(2x for restaurant meals and 1x for takeaways) and it was great every time. Our American friends said this restaurnt compares favorably with what they have back in the States and are looking forward to coming back-in addition, the restaurant has a comments book which is packed with cooemts which accord with ours

Stunning food, excellent service! I highly recommend Soulsa to anybody who is after a bit of fine dining and great service in Whakatane. As a group of four we were greeted and promptly seated at our booked table. Drinks orders were swiftly taken after perusing the lovely beverage menu. Fish of the day and specials were explained in just the right amount of detail. The starters of salt and pepper squid, breads and dips were wonderful, I encourage you to try the beetroot dip! We all enjoyed our mains very much, and all had to sample each others. The duck was the winner of the night! Dessert was also amazing, creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake. All in all a wonderful and delicious experience! Will be back for sure.
