Flip’n Bear can be flip’n bad or beary good It is one of those hit and miss cafes. I personally dislike their pancakes as I find them to be soggy and stodgy. I would prefer it if they put the flavours/bacon/ham/fruit etc on top rather than in the pancakes. However if you order something other than pancakes such as the bagels or cabinet food then I can highly recommend it. Coffee is also good. They are very slow. Staff need training. Or maybe it’s the owner needs training. Anyway I’m going to be generous and give 3 stars as there are some redeeming features just as there are big let downs.

I only had a hot chocolate but it was the best one I have ever had and the only one I’ve had in years where the Barrista had actually stretched the milk so that it was silky smooth. So beautiful. I’m guessing that their coffee would be awesome too. I would have eaten there but all the seats were taken so I just got my drink to take away.

So I have been to Kava many times over the years and all the various owners and I’ve always found it to be average/OK but nothing special, nothing terrible. Anyhow I read one of the reviews that said their Eggs Benedict were the best, so I tried them. They were like everything else – average. Not bad. Not great. Just OK. The service was fine and they were to quick to bring out my meal. The hollandaise sauce was a bit cold too.

What a transformation! The new owners of the Sterling truly revamped and transformed the premises and the business turning it from a place you would not want to be seen in to a lovely family friendly restaurant and bar. We have been here several times and the service is always excellent and very friendly and the food is always lovely and very reasonably priced. My favourite is the calamari or the seafood chowder for an entree, and the pork belly or steak for mains. They were doing a beautiful tiramisu but that wasn’t on the menu last time. Very good value place to take the family.

So I’ve been to Furnace twice now for dinner, and I have to say that has been a great experience both times. We have been seated promptly, had our orders taken and drinks provided quickly by lovely friendly staff. On our most recent visit we order the calamari and the scallops for our entrees and then both had the eye fillet for our mains. OMG, it was the best for all our dishes. We eat out a lot and I’m not usually impressed but this time I was as no element let the food or service down. We also had the choc mousse and creme brulee for pud – yummo. I also liked the wallpaper in the ladies restroom!

We have been here many times and have had just as many lovely meals. Highly recommend the duck, calamari and chicken dishes. Our pizzas have always been nice!

YUMMO! SO love the bagettes, fresh carved ham, mmm. Lots of yummy goodies to take home!

Been here a few times, I love their Chicken salad! The eggs bene are good too. I like it that they have a baby change table in one of the bathrooms. Good service, nice food and fair prices, not cheap but not over priced either.

Our group of 4 went to the Talisman and had a lovely lunch. Nice warm atmosphere, yum food, friendly prompt service. Thank you.

We came here because it was open on a Sunday night and we didn’t want to be trying to find a car park in the cbd on a rainy night! the service was really good, we were given a good level of attention from our helpful waitress. our meals came quickly… pork belly, fish of the day, spare ribs. They were all very nice with nice salads etc. My only complaint was that my pork belly was very overcooked. The desserts were nice, my brulee was excellent. overall a good experience but nothing outstanding.

We just had dinner here tonight. We really enjoyed sitting out in the evening sun and I have to say we both had a fabulous meal. I had the chicken breast, he had the steak. Both were perfectly cooked and presented. The service was excellent, the waitress was really lovely, she even brought out a bowl of water for our dog (without being asked) which was very thoughtful as we had been traveling. Probably the best meal and service we have had this year.

Have been here several times since New Delhi closed (which is a shame as it was 5+ stars), the service is excellent, the food is lovely, it is very clean and has great extractor fans so no cooking smells. The naans are huge!

Just visited this place on Friday after a workmate recommended it. Unlike the other reviews we had good time. The service was excellent, the food was delivery quickly, and the prices were good. The food was pleasant but not very exciting for Mexican food but dessert was yum. I also question how much alcohol was in my drink, and I think it must have been cheap vodka as something about my drink was unpleasant. Liked the atmosphere and the light fittings!
