I’ve dined her twice now. Second time was way better than the first as it seemed the food was cooked better. Didn’t like my first dining experience as we were squashed in on a busy Friday night. Food is ok, portions not that big but the variety of cheese you can purchase is amazing.

My family’s experience here was a.o.k. I found the service here great and so was the food. We only ordered dessert for our child (she’s a very fussy eater so we can only usually find her something on the dessert menu) and the staff had enough initiative to bring it out with our mains without me telling them too as I forgot – well done! Most restaurants if I don’t tell them, they don’t. I would dine here again.

I dinned here based on the reviews. I wasn’t disspointed but I wouldn’t say they have the ‘best’ curries around. They were yummy no doubt and the atmosphere is great.

Great place, found the atmosphere and food amazing for a resonable price. You won’t be disapointed on the quality and quantity for the price. I can’t wait to dine here again as I believe they have a new menu now

My overall experience here was ok. I loved the decor and relaxed atmosphere. Took the kids ages 18-4 and felt quite comfortable having the younger one there. The service was a bit slack, had to wait too long to be served. She should have asked if we were ready to order our meals when she took our drinks order and when she dropped our drinks off…but didn’t and made a special return trip to do that. The lamb pattie in the lamb burger wasn’t that great…dry and packed with god knows what binding it together. Steak was great.

reading the two reviews I was a bit optimistic about going here, but I did. My experience was good. I would definately dine here again. My husband had a small problem with some of the service – felt they weren’t attentive enough, but overall I think they did a great job. The lady who served us was fab. The food is great, but could definately do with a bit more seasoning by the chef. Overall I enjoyed it. The bread and dips were a bit of a let down, charging $12.50 for a sliced loaf of sour dough and two very small dips is a bit pricey. Wouldn’t have minded paying that price if it was better presented, but a sliced loaf doesn’t quite cut it. Dinning experience 7 out of 10, food price 6 out of 10, food 8 out of 10.

SO sick of getting squashed Pizza delivered! I have to make a special request when I ring that they are not squashed! One time they were squashed and toppings had slid off. Rang them straight away to complain (as this was about the 4th time it had happened) and just got a sorry won’t happen again! No free pizza disappointing considering we had to scrape the toppings off the box and place back on the pizza base.

Took the whole family here…around 20 of us. The food was fine, some a bit bland, but overall everyone was really happy. Felt that we could have received better service. I put a bar tab on, yet I had to be the one that kept getting up and asking everyone if they wanted a drink. Was quite disappointed about this because I couldn’t see why a waiter couldn’t have done this for us. The bar bill was only around $100 (for 20 people!) – to me this is a reflection of the service we received. I would dine here again though because I enjoyed the food and the setting.

Good Points: Despite being busy, it was easy to find a seat and the booths provide the right amount of privacy you need. Waiting staff were friendly. (amazed at how everyone speaks with an irish accent). Good amount of food for the price.

Bad Points: Had to find a space near the register to order. Felt rushed though the ordering process. I had the honey soy pork – honey soy tasted burnt, it was doused in gravy – which tasted like marmite. My partner had the Rib steak – it lacked seasoning eventhough it was also doused in gravy. Honestly it was like someone had just slapped meat on a plate and doused it with gravy. No love and attention to the presentation, quality or taste of the food served which you can tell when eating. Oh and if the menu call for a choice between veges or slaw, don’t worry telling the bar staff, you’ll just get what you’re given.

Would I go there again: Yes definately for a social drink, but not voluntarily for food.

I throughly enjoyed my dining experience here. It was a cold, wet night and the restaurant was heated perfectly. Enjoyed the food, definately your upper class restaurant. Would definately dine here again.

A must eat – the ‘Banoffe Pie”! yummy!!

Best chinese in Newlands!

Not a bad place at all. The food is good and the cook is even better…providing entertainment while you eat and while he’s cooking. The waitreses aren’t around as much or attendtive, but it could be a cultural thing.

The burgers look really nice and tasty in the pictures etc (and so they should be because they’re not cheap! around $10), but my was tasteless. I’ve been there twice for a burger and now I buy elsewhere for around half the price and tastier. Staff arent that great to deal with but it might be a language barrier. It would be nice if they talked and smiled.

You pay for what you get here…plus some! No flash decor, no flash service but the food is to die for! Great food. Service is fine for the price you pay for food…definately cheap..
Will be back again and again and again…..

Lovely food! not like your food-court indian food, this is the real stuff. Great atmosphere, staff and food.

Service is appalling here! When asked how my meal was at the end, I said “actually, I really didn’t enjoy mine, found the eggs really bland” my reply was a grin, bit of a laugh and then the cost of the meals!

Denny’s get your staff trained in customer service. The least your staff member could’ve said is “I’m sorry to hear that!”

I visited this restaurant last night with only an hour to eat before the start of Mama Mia. We visited other restaurants around the place and were told we wouldn’t be served before the show. We went here and asked how long and was told around 10 minutes – great! They had it on our table definitely in around this time. Because of this, we were able to go to the show with a full tummy! Thanks. Staff were definitely friendly and they had a good system going for big night. I would definitely dine here again. Only one down sight – I ordered the seafood chowder which comes with garlic bread but I also ordered another garlic bread for my friend. They brought out one plate of garlic bread – should’ve explained whether that was for the soup or the extra we ordered or if it was combined. The outdoor seating area is fabulous

Service was great – staff were friendly, approachable and were always available and around. Nice, relaxing setting. Food was great value for money. I got the rump steak and it was of excellent proportion. Wouldn’t recommend sitting by elevator area as you get the cold draft coming up through the elevator shaft. Wine is too pricy. Cost: starters were around $8.00, entree around $14.00, mains around $31.00, desserts (which I didn’t have because we were full from entee and main) was around $11.00. Proportions made it worth the price. Use your advantage plus card and everything is half price!

Absolutely great place to dine. Great food proportions – definately get your money’s worth here! Staff are friendly and are happy to have a chin wag with you. Try to avoid the busy period, staff get under alot of stress during this time, orders get forgotten and you can feel the bad stress vibes when you’re dining – makes you too scared to ask for anything else. They don’t do dinner…only open till around 4.30pm. Experience is excellent when not a stressful period, and just good when it is.

Really enjoyed dinning here. Lovely setting, staff gave friendly great service. Food priced fine, but I had the salmon and it was crusty on the skin side/over cooked. I will still dine there again though as the positives outway the negatives. My husbands meal was perfect.
