I used to get bread from here when it first opened – there was a lovely guy who was friendly & knowledgable about the breads. Went in today & bought a loaf of bread & was served by a different guy who throughout the entire time I was there never said one word to me! Even when I was paying I was never even told how much I was being charged, much less greeting me when I came in or asking me what I would like- this strikes me as extremely rude for a small bakery. The breads are good, but I won’t be back after that. When I’m giving someone money I should not have to make them talk to me or make staff seem interested in the customers

The food here is delicious but the service is quite appalling. They are overstaffed, but under-trained. We had a booking for 5 for a birthday party & were told when we arrived that someone had called to cancel our booking (which certainly hadn’t been us) but they would do their best to accommodate us. We shared 2 entrees & 5 mains and ALL were delicious, but as soon as we had finished our mains we were asked to leave. It was a birthday party, we’d only been there an hour and we weren’t allowed to order dessert? Seriously?! No explanation was given at the table, but when we went to pay we asked why we couldn’t order dessert & were told by another staff member that a party of 11 that had cancelled had arrived anyway and they were short staffed now. Firstly, am I to believe that they had 2 bookings cancel & then arrive anyway? It sounds like whoever takes their bookings severely screwed up. Secondly, was our table supposed to leave to accommodate another table that came in after us? This makes no sense & although the food is great, I will NOT be back. I suggest the chef find a better home

I think this place is still getting some of their kinks worked out considering it is brand new, but I have to say that all of the meals our table ordered were flavourful and delicious. They take a little while coming out but it seems that there was care in preparing them. The only detraction is that we had to get our drinks from the bar in another room and pay those on a separate bill. Also, the waitress seemed to not really understand the menu or how to pronounce the items on it – again though, they are a new place and this should be sorted with time

Really great food and exceptional service! I had never had Vietnamese food before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but the flavours were rich and amazing. We had a table of 4 and 3 of the 4 absolutely loved their dishes. I might suggest putting pictures on the menu of the dishes though for those who have never had Vietnamese food before, because 1 of our table ordered something and he didn’t realise it was on noodles with no sauce so pictures might help. But otherwise, fantastic

Very average food, poor presentation, below average wait staff (who was the manager), no knowledge of the wines they serve. High price for average experience.

I don’t often leave poor reviews and it’s a shame to leave one for Fleur’s as I’ve had 1 fantastic visit there, 1 average visit, and one extremely bad one. Unfortunatley the bad one was an anniversary dinner (Dec, 5 2010). The problem isn’t the food (it is ALWAYS lovely), but the waitress who served us. I cannot give her name because she never introduced herself, nor did she even so much as acknowledge our orders. She simply wasn’t pleasant at all, knew nothing about the questions we had of the menu and basically threw our dessert menus on the table and walked away. I have recommended this place to SEVERAL people in the past, and it was my partner’s first experience here, but I will not be returning

Inedible – I ordered a chicken burrito which was literally chicken from a can put on a tortilla and heated up – it was dry and tasted like cat food so I didn’t make it past my second bite. Not one person asked us how our meal was or I would have been honest with them. This place has great ambiance and horrible food

For a high price, the food quality was pretty poor, not to mention EVERYTHING was undercooked – venison, salmon, and crayfish. Also, there were very strange combinations of flavors. However, the staff were great, but the meal took 2 full hours for 4 people.

Excellent food, best asian in Dunedin. Horrible service though – the waitress sat us at a table while she was on the phone and the food was about a 30 minute wait for 2 people while we were the only ones there

This is one of THE Best restaurants I have EVER eaten at and certainly the best in Dunedin, hands down. Their Shish and Tapenade are both mouth-watering!
