We have just returned home from an excellent meal at this fine establishment. It only opened 2 days ago but the service was seamless. The waitstaff were lovely and talkative. One man in particular ( I think he was the owner) was especially nice and happy to answer any questions.
We had the mixed entree. I am so glad that we went for this as everything on it was divine!!
For our main we shared a chicken Tikka Marsala and a mali kofta also a chicken naan and a kashmiri naan. For pudding it was recommended that we get the Gulab Jamun. We were again not disappointed. A great end to the meal. Earlier today I wrote a review about Great India. I said that it was the best restaurant in Wellington. Zaika blows Great India out of the water, it is AMAZING!
We will definitely be back and look forward to returning. I wish this restaurant all the best and I really do hope it does well.

We have been back to Zaika a week after my initial review and again we were not disappointed. This is a top top restaurant with exceptional staff. I see us frequenting this restaurant a lot in the future. Well Done Zaika!!

This is the best Indian restaurant in Wellington.
Awesome attentive service.
We have been a few times and have had a selection of the entrees which are all delicious.
We usually only get one curry to share, we have had the chicken korma and the Chicken Tikka Marsala. Both are full of flavor.
The fruit and nut naan is a standout and my favorite. Partner loves the cheese naan!

Amazing!!!!! I have just finished eating the delicious pizza we had delivered.
We ordered the pizza/garlic bread, the carne and the paesana i cant pick a favourite. for weeks we have hum and harred about getting a pizza from here but we will never go back to the cheap stuff now. Excellent ingredients the best in Wellington. we only waited 30mins from the time we ordered online until there was a knock on the door. I will be telling all my friends about this place. simply exceptional!!!!!!!

I am appalled by Arthur’s review it sounds as though he was in a bad mood before he even walked through the door. Viva Mexico is an excellent place to relax and eat some authentic Mexican food. The chefs are obviously native to Mexico which adds to the already fantastic experience. The pulled pork with anchote was to die for and i order on the recommendation of the waiter.
The best cheap eat in town hands down!!!!!!! we have been 5 times and will not hesitate to return! great work guys.

We had the Mali Kofta and the Chicken Masala. They were generous portions and full of flavour. We also had a Cheese nann and a Garlic nann. I watched them make the nanns which was a treat. This is by far the best curry place in wellington, hands down!!! Good value also! Our new favourite.

For the second time we brought a voucher for two meals at the curry pot. The first time it was fantastic. The second time, tonight was AWFUL. My partner returned home for me to find traffic light orange chicken tikka marsala and a bright green lamb nilgiri. I thought what the hay and gave them a taste as looks can be deceiving. The tikka marsala was nothing like we are used to. ( my partner and I use the chicken tikka marsala as a marker of how good a place is) It tasted like a weak butter chicken. no flavour. It should be jumping with fresh coriander, ginger, chilli,garlic and garam masala. Nothing. Boneless?? bones scattered throughout the curry. The lamb curry was a step better but still disappointing. The lamb was very tender if you could find any. The ginger was fresh tasting but completely over powered it. The two plain nann’s were thin but not over cooked. I know we had a voucher and that we paid half price but we are the people that they should really be trying to please as we will NOT be returning to pay full price. You really need to pick up your standards ‘Curry Pot’ as there are plenty of better Indian restaurants close by.

I booked High tea here for a Sunday afternoon treat for my partner and I. I could not have been more disappointed!! My partner (born and bred English) asked for English breakfast tea but was given Lady grey. Which took half an hour to arrive. Partner not happy. It was a down hill ride from there. The food was shocking which i presume were leftovers from the catering side of abode. The tables were far too close together. Hearing my partner was difficult as we were stuck between tables of pensioners. The concept of a dainty high tea in a ‘modern’ white building was absurd. Ghastly metal tea pot/jug and English pottery….not something i would consider traditional. All and all it was terrible. I just regret not walking out as soon as we arrived.
