We went yesterday for brunch and were surprised at how packed it was. We started off with a banana and caramel milkshake and flat white with a drop of vanilla. The milkshake wasn’t sickly as expected, but mild and fruity. The flat white – velvety smooth … in fact best coffee I have ever had. Ever. We ordered the egg and bacon buttie with chorizo – the bread was incredibly fresh and definitely what the other half will be ordering again. I had the Moroccan ragu – couscous was light and lemony, meat was succulent – just bliss. I’m a big foodie and coffee lover. I wish I worked closer … oh and the staff were lovely.

We went as a group for Wellington on a plate. The service was pleasant, the decor boring and the food a 3/5 to sum it up.
The staff were nice but a bit casual in their language. The decor on the outside gave the impression it was a stylish joint but once inside it was disappointing. The food was fine, smaller portions but for the price I guess they can justify this. Our big disappointment came when we had been there half an hour and both my partner and I started to fidget and shift alot. After an hour we were glad our party had made a move to exit as our backs were killing us. Thanks for not responding to our email … I have never had to write in for such an odd feedback for a restaurant but in my last 7 years here in Wellington I have never complained about awfully uncomfortable chairs.

I am a huge fan, infact if I ever win lotto I am going to walk here every morning for a coffee. The staff are always friendly, the service is prompt and the coffee doesnt taste like mud which I used to get from fidels. They have recently uped the menu which makes me happy… mmm tofu burger!!!

Tostados, cheese fondue, burritos and paelle … all lovely. Very fresh, generous servings topped with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Always busy in the morning, so good thing I dont walk passed as I be very green

If your not on the older side this would be a place to avoid as times before I have come in with family and they were lovely.

As a group of young people they were rude and after telling them so ended up in an argument. How about next time you run out of bacon you advise us when the meal comes. Also barking that we were not aware of certain conditions – not acceptable.

On a hot day (seriously) we were after a joint that we could use our entertainment book. Cant go passed a seafood chowder so we shared the larger version of this and the sirloin steak sandwich. Chowder was heavenly. Much like the bill. Forgot to charge us for the drinks – we told them that and they happily added this to our bill.

Loved this place. Was not feeling like Indian, but due to the lack of places open in the Christmas period we were recommended this place by chef.

Loved the interior and selection of drinks available. The staff were great, the food was amazing and the price of the naan as reasonable. Have been to a few places now were the naan costs that of an entree.

For the amount you spend its good bang for your buck. The portion sizes and variety is fantastic. Shame it is so loud, and one of the staff was getting bullied by another staff member. What a bad look.

Just average in terms of sushi. When you have the likes of wasabi sushi on Cuba and asahi across the road, well theyre both close and of better quality. Also, for a sushi train they lacked variety and you didn’t know what was on the plates – most sushi trains I have been to have a detailed menu of goods going around. Staff were nice though!

From the time I walked in to the time I left. The gentleman in the kitchen was staring and jeering with his mate as I walked between the bar and my table downstairs. Luckily this was a Christmas function so I let it slip so not to cause a scene in front of my boss. As for the food it was great.

Next time I found the service outweighed the most unhospitable staff. We ended up in a yelling match on Cuba Street about a staff members sheer rudeness. The ‘management’ staff here could use a dictionary on etiquette. Never again.
