We have just had lunch here while holidaying in Mt Maunganui. I can higly recommend Teriyaki Chicken Salad. It was great, will definitely return to have again. Good prices and really hot fresh food. Great views over the board walk and to Main Beach. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Meal did not take long to be served which is always abonus at the busy cafes at the Mount.

My husband and I had lunch here today. I had Gourmet Chicken Burger and wedges. Large meal! The wedges were nice and hot, pity the burger wasn’t, in fact it was barely arm. But it did taste OK. My husband had seafood platter, seemed to be more salad than seafood. There was a good selection of food in cabinets and everything was reasonable priced. We did notice that at the table next to us, had been left uncleared and when other people sat there, the table was still left uncleared even after 3 different people bringing out various meals to the table. A little slack as there were only 3 other tables with people at. Cafe was very quiet.

My husbans loves to come here for a drink with friends while on holiday, I’m don’t mind the drink but meals aren’t the best. Very basic and very greasy, but Roasts if they are still doing them are ok for the price.

Great Turkish food, either eat in or takeaway. We have eaten here a few times and will do so again. Good price and friendly staff. All meals are always generous servings.

Definitely our favourite place to eat breakfast while holidaying at the Mount, we have eaten here many times. Big Breakfasts, Eggs Benedict and Pancakes are highly recommended. Staff are always friendly and meals even when busy don’t take too long. This cafe is always busy over summer period, but it is not surprising. Meals are generous and a good price.

Try the Going Bananas smoothie it’s great! A great way to try soy milk. It is the first time I’ve tried soy and will definitetly continue to have them. I’m love them. Salads also are good, containers look small but hold far more than you think. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Great place to eat for either lunch or dinner. Nice area where you can sit and look out over beach. Chicken salad is great.

Very busy restaurant/cafe over Xmas period and weekends. Very popular with coffees etc. Great hot chocolate and good variety of food.

Always a great meal here. Bufft is constantly being filled up with fresh hot food, great variety. Friendly helpful staff. Good price too. We have eaten here many times.

Over priced meals and very plain! Seem to pay extra for everything that most places include for nothing extra.

Teasonably priced to visit for breakfast or lunch. Can be very busy especially over Xmas period and expect quite a wait for meals. . But good choice of items on menu. And reasonably priced. Pity the last time we ate there, had a rude waiter who reached right over and in front of me twice while I was eating. No excuse me or whatsoever. Not Impressed!!

OK I guess for a Breakers Restaurant. Certainly better than from another Breakers we have been too. Good priced meals, and a reasonable choice on menu. But sometimes can be a bit mass produced tasting.

We ate here over Xmas holidays. Very disappointing, meals are cooked at Breakers (which is next door). And meals were not great! Only good thing was drinks, friendly staff and outside garden bar. We won’t be eating there again.

We have had good and bad meals here. Roasts are great, but last year had pan fried fish that wasn’t so good. Good prices and friendly staff.

We ate here a couple of times over the Xmas holiday period, after purchasing deal vouchers. I’ve got to say breakfasts are better than lunch or dinner. Nothing to rave about, tends to be very quiet and I wonder if this is because of the meals. Not that fantastic.

We ate here for breakfast a few days ago. Good sized Big Breakfast, but nothing to rave about. Would go again tho. Good variety on breakfast and other menus. Pleasant staff

A great place to go for lunch, Morrocan chicken and custard slice are the best! Good view over lake. Good variety of food and good prices.

We ate here a couple of months ago. Get the lamb shanks! They were huge and so much food. Can be a little noisy inside restaurant. But meals are always of a good size.

My daughter and I ate here recently. Meal was ok, nothing to rave about. But not too bad either. Nice staff tho.

We recently ate here but were very disappointed with range offered for a Saturday night buffet. Many of the platters were empty and not being refilled, and it was only 7.30pm. It took nearly 1/2 an hour to be seen by the drinks waiter and then about 15mins to get drinks. And it wasn’t very busy. My daugther enjoyed the mussels and there was a good variety for desert. Hopefully it isn’t always this way, but disappointing for a first visit there.

We got takeaways here a couple of nights ago. Really impressed with food, good price and tasted lovely. The first Thai food that I have had that isn’t oily. Fantastic! Would definitely eat there again, if in Levin. I can high recommend.

We ate at Valentines Palmerston North last Saturday night. We hadn’t booked but Tania was a great host and sat us in the lounge area for a short time until a table was available. We are from Rotorua and were celebrating the birthday of our son who lives in Levin. Other family members joined us also including 3 children. All staff were great and helped to make it a good night. Food was excellent, especially the Roast Beef! We will definitely be dining here again. Thanks to Tania and the rest of the team at Valentines.
