A friend recommended that we go here for a meal. It’s a really nice place good atmosphere. We had entree’s which were really lovely – spring rolls, prawns and one other. Very nice, well presented but we still opted to go elsewhere for our mains. We will try next time to have a main and post a fuller review

Went here as I had read a few reviews and the service and food was really nice – I had the scrambled eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms. Lovely with a really cool atmosphere will be going back again keep up the really good work guys.

Got a bit of take away yesterday – although the food looked really good it was pretty greasy. The curry chicken did look nice but next time will probably go for that instead.

Well, I have to give MOJO a 4star for their service and the lovely lady who served me at the counter. I had the museli for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious – ordered a hot chocolate on the side and that was fab also. I didn’t realise that they did food aswell and they have a very good selection off the board. I have a Koru Club membership but yep would come here for something hearty… Great stuff MOJO…

I had read reviews which made me go out of my way to ensure we went here for breakfast. I was so disappointed with the service and also the manner that the food was presented not to mention the price was over the top for what we received. The scrambled eggs looked like they had been burnt and i didnt even touch my bacon eh in turkish bread it didnt cut it at all. We will not be going back i knew we should have stuck to our usual and reliable at Dixon Street Cafe!
I have now changed my rating as the owner did come back and advised why the service was not so great he also sent a voucher which was very unexpected but pleasing also. Thank you to the management for taking on board the view so based on this I have changed my rating.
Ok guys i gifted the voucher to my mother in law who used who had brunch on 22.12.12 and she said the meal was absolutely fantastic they had the plum breakfast excellent atmosphere service and food. Thank you very much have a great new year

I have come here because I’ve heard the place is fantastic. I understand this is the second day they have been open, I was greeted by a lovely lady and the place is so friendly with decor that suits the atmosphere. I have just devoured the Spanish omlette most pleasing and very reasonably priced. I will definetly be back again and letting everyone I know how awesome this place is. Top marks all round.

Ok Gelato this place has award winning gelato so you must go and try. I am hooked and live an hour away but make the trip over to have a Gelato when the urge gets the better of me. I love the Berries and White Chocolate and also the Salted Caramel is a must if they have it in stock. Also I can never resist the Mr Snickers. This product is divine and an absolute must when you are in Mount Maunganui beach side.

Have passed this place a couple of times and wondered what it was like. This time, we went for breakfast and the food is divine – the cabinet food is so inviting. We had the omlette and that was exceptional. My son couldn’t resist the mince and cheese pie and he is an expert on pies at the age of 6 years old and he gave it the thumbs up. Coffee was a little average but the atmospher and the service definetly made up for that. Will be going back again.

Went here late in the evening and the staff were very accommodating and kept the kitchen open so we could dine. Was a family experience and being the first time to this establishment was really impressed with the service and the quality of the food. The venue is awesome and we enjoyed the outside furniture which was funky and inviting for the children. Will definetly go back here again in the future. Great quality food that is equally tasty.

Went here because we had passed his place a number of times and couldn’t decide where to eat. We had the burgers and they were beautiful. The decor is a little dated but the attention to service was really cool and authentic. Will definetly go back here another time.

Went here to experience something a little different in Tauranga. Pretty cool hip place to go with a lovely menu. Will definetly go back again. Had the museli which was lovely and the coffee pretty good !!!

I have been here twice and both times the service and the food is spectacular and I will be going back the Dixie Chicken and the Jack Daniels Chocolate Pudding is always a good finish off to the night. But I always find it hard to drive home after a meal there. Oh the Cobb Bread so fresh and yummie and a sides must have. Well done

I have dined here a couple of times now and I have not been disappointed on any of these occsions. From memory that is about four times and a couple of those have been with family. The meals are so beautiful and there a range to suit everyone and the prices are awesome. I have had the Thai Chicken Curry which was huge and so tasty. My partner has had the steak which was cooked perfectly. The burgers are also yummo – I will go back again and again.

i must say this place is really something else only been open 6 weeks. The meals were fantastic my partner had the duck which was tender and so tasty. I had the eye fillet which was so tender… only improvement would be the side a little bland and didnt really enhance the mainp. The desserts we had Sticky Date Pudding the best dessert I have had and again only improvement would be the arrangement – the icecrean rhld be served on the pudding and the biscuit on the side. If you wantwa tasty meal in Whakatane this is the place to go without a doubt.

First time here went on a whim and everything was delicious. I opted for the Bbq bacon and cheese burger which was divine. The first burger was underdone for a medium but the staff were so nice when I asked if it could be grilled more not long and me new burger was served. The chips perfect just right – compliments to the chef. I couldnt resist had the cheese cake well presented and as equally delicious. Bravo looks like your service has picked its game up. Woujd come back another time.

Ok, so I did wait approximately 25 minutes for what I thought would be a short wait the Pork and Apple burger which was a Pork Pattie with apple sauce burger literally – salad and wedges. The salad was very nice I must admit but like the previous reviews the customer service here is second rate from the chef who probably owns the place through to the wait staff who looked like she could have been somebody who just walked off the street. Not one to judge I did stay for my meal but thought if it takes 35 minutes that’s unacceptable and I’m out of here. The burger was ok, yep just ok it was a pork pattie but very very dry. The saving grace was the side salad, wedges and aioli which I ordered separately that came in a very very small portion and on requesting a second serving of aioli had to pay an extra $1.00 um. On reflection I won’t make an effort to go back here again and if for some weird reason I ened up back at this place I would order the lettuce salad, wedges and aioli and save myself about $10.00!!!!

Went here on reading a magazine review raving about the oysters from somewhere other than the Bluff so was disappointed to get there and be advised they didnt have any. I still ordered a dozen half tempura and half natural. Yum but all oysters delicious?!! Not exceptional apart from the price $60 although service great venue lovely pretty expensive. May go back but not for oysters.

Great quality and yummy tasting food. The cabinet food always looks divine and the staff are awesome come here for breakfast menu the scrambled eggs with ham and side of potatoes fantastic every time worth getting into work late for. Will be back for more wifi a. bonus also.

Ok dead give away “yes” have been to all Kaffee Eis in Wellington and this on on par with Courtney Place great selection of gelato flavours and kewl staff location was a bit hard to find – but definetly my back up gelato for favourite flavours biscotti/choc choc chip/white chocolate and choc mint yumm

Went herE because it was advertised in the Courtney Place Kaffee Eis window – not a great venue really cold wouldnt know it was there off main street. Will stick to Courtney Place.

I am obsessed by gelato – the staff are awesome well when you come in two or three times you get to know them. I love the gelato problem is all the best flavours are generally gone by 9pm duh!!!

I have been here a number of times passing through, the quality of the food that we have ordered of the menu has been below par for my standards. Had the seafood chowder which was re-heated to the point the mussels had withered to about 2cm and was the consirtancy of water also the side roll was cremated! Meals are also pricey. The sweets they are a different story always beautiful shortcake slice a favourite.

Made an effort to dine here during the weekend as I have passed by and it looked really inviting. The breakfast food we ordered and received was great Ihad the energiser and partner had the omlette both yummy. The home baking to die for and the blue berry caramel slice legendary – even took slices home. I would have to agree the staff are a little rude and a bit clueless. The counter area becomes quickly congested if thea more than three people ordering at a time. Apart from this will definetly be back for baking oh and yo-yo’s delicious.

Ok I have gone from never drinking coffee to being a V60 and Chemex loyalist. The service, atmosphere and vibe at this place rocks their passion for quality coffee with a twist cannot be matched. Ok went here on a friday nite and wanted to start our meal of with a drink on we have had before and was impressed manuka mule – received the drink which looked like it had the entire mint bush shoved at the bottom not to mention it tasted terrible decided to leave then and there. Just walkin out the waitress firstly asks us if we have paid for drink we reply yes but advise its terrible and she goes onto say it mite be because it was made in the wrong glass!! Never going bk there again.

Went here for dinner and had a great experience the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. We had for our first sharing experience the soft crab – this is truely divine a taste delight, along with the yellow fin tuna which was superb, dumplings – magnificant and the spring rolls all of these were simply divine. I opted for the clams for my main which is not a dish I would usually have but would definetly have this again, very nice. The angus curry, yep that was delightful also accompanied by the asian greens which were tasty and succulent.
Now, if you want to have a fabulous experience where the hospitality is spot on look no further not to mention the food is of top quality – only downfall will be that this place will become so popluar you won’t be able to get a table!!

GHad entrees here nice but not overly outstanding as we had read a review bout the place and wanted to check it out. Didnt stay for mains had the baked scallops in parmasen cheese was a little sickly by the end. Not what i expect with such high external reviews. Not going bk sorry

This place used to rock not sure whats gone wrong maybe new owners????? Went here for a great coffee which was below average and only very basic cabinet food.

Javaman rocks always consirtantly yummy food. Great portimn sizes and reasonable prices.
Ok now I must say that I am never ever disappointed with this place because they are sooooo consistant with every aspect of their food and service. The Thai Green Curry Chricken is the bomb as are the delightful cakes – carrot cake is my favourite. And if you really want to top the curry or any other meal off – order extra garlic bread they do that so well tooo.

Went here not knowing it had changed management and exceeded my dxpectations awesome selection and beautiful tasting with attention to detail loved it all. Will go back again

Ok im not sure what happened with the other reviews but we dined here and had a lovely waiter and as equaly lovely food. And must admit will go back again.

Went here the other nite only because monsoon poon had a 40minute wait. This place was surprisingly pleasant the food was fab and the pricing was very reasonable. The Royale omlette delicious perfect combination of tastes. A must for a cheap quality eat will be telling everyone to dine here.

Ok sold on this place they have never disappointed with their service or the food which is excellent. My partner and I are devoted customers and we come from Whakatane. He has the yellow curry and I have the fish and prawns dish beautiful.

Ok my partner and I have been here twice just to make sure the first time wasnt a fluke. And nope it wasn’t the desserts are to die for but can be a tad expensive. Will be working our way through that two page dessert menu before the end of 2012

Extremely disappointed on my visit to Lone Star Tauranga, in comparison to Wellington their was no comparison. The potion sizes were smaller and the Dixie chicken that I ordered seemed to have a curry sauce and not the usual sauce. The coleslaw that comes with this dish was a brownish. We thought that having a dessert might save the day but the chocolate pudding was undercooked and runny so we won’t be going back here anytime soon at all. Not the family dining experience at all that we wanted for that special day out.

Have been here a couple of times for dessert and had the chocolate fondante plus the gelato. Both very average for an Italian restaurant – the service is very good tho.

My partner and I have been here twice and both times the food has been outstanding the food is fresh and arrived in a speedy manner. I had the Bhuna which was fantastic accompanied by starters samosa’s with Nanaa bread all excellent and beautiful. My parnter had one of the curry dishes which was superb. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting authentic indian cuisine.

I have dined here about four times and the food is outstanding as is the service. The entrees are just amazing in variety and also in taste – extremely refreshing and just a pleasure to dine here. I will be making this Restaurant a must eat place when I am in Wellington
