I’m a big fan of lone star, I love how there are multiple chicken and beef options. The wait was quite long tonight, 40min wait at the bar for a table. Asked when our table would be ready after 40mins, got told that the waitress could take us up right now, ok?! and after ordering, waited around 30mins more for our food to arrive. But must say the food was excellent. Partner had the rib eye and I had the sirloin both with mushroom sauce, chips and coleslaw, delicious! Next time I will come when I’m not starving because when the food arrives I sure will be! But worth the wait, good if you have 2 hours to kill.

Came here for my birthday with my partner and used the Entertainment Voucher which they happily accepted. I ordered the Lamb Tikka Masala which the lamb was very tender and the curry was amazing! My partner had the butter chicken which was too sweet for the both of us, not the best but still quite nice. The naan we had was the best naan ever, very soft and fluffy. Love how it was cut into pieces and cooked perfectly (not burnt).

The food was great and up to the high standard that people seem to have for this place. However the service of the staff could be a bit faster and they could be more attentive since the restaurant wasn’t busy when we went. Other than that it was a great restaurant.

Went here for Valentines day and the atmosphere was nice with candles and changing lights. We were seated in a dimly light corner and it was all very romantic and there were enough spaces around the tables that we could have an intimate conversation without anyone overhearing us. It was a quiet and nice atmosphere.

The service was great and the staff were very pleasant. My partner had the steak with chips and salad, and he said that the steak was cooked perfectly and the chips with the gravy sauce was exceptional. I had the sicilian pizza, which I didn’t realise that it had more meat than expected and was quite spicy. But the base was very nice. If I knew it had that much meat I would’ve ordered a vegetarian or margarita pizza but nevertheless it was still an alright pizza if you like meat. We shared the creme brulee for dessert with poached fruit. The creme brulee was perfect and delicious while the poached fruit was apricot and had the essence of aniseed, which I didn’t like.

Overall it was a good place to dine especially since I have high expectation than usual for Valentine’s Day but One Good Horse was a fine choice and I will recommend and will be back. Worth the drive all the way to Parklands for this restaurant.

Group of friends came here for lunch the other day and one of my friend is gf and df and they accomodated her needs nicely and the waitress was able to tell her at least 3 dishes that she could try. The waitress was very aware and careful for all of our needs and the food was delicious! I had the curry of the moment and it was very mild and just the right portion. My friends had the burger and said they were delicious as well. Would be back as the staff are very friendly and considerate and the food is nice and reasonable price!

Friendly staff, nice lemon lime and bitters, very refreshing on a hot day, too bad they didn’t have air con due to it being an old building. The pork with apple sauce I had was alright, couldn’t finish the pork as it kind of got sick of the taste after a while but came with great mashed potato and side salad. Great place.

Me and my partner split a large pizza of san marco and patata and the pizza was very authentic and delicious!! The dessert of creme brulee and strawberry sundae was both delicious and just the right size after a big main! Very classy and authentic, will be back. However only rated it 4 stars (very close to 5 though), was that they forgot to put olives in my san marco pizza and when I asked the waitress she flat out said san marco doesn’t come with olives even though it says it does on the menu?!! And the place is very loud, which is alright but would be perfect if it was a bit more quiet and intimate.

The burgers were nice in the sense that it was authentic but didn’t leave me with a feeling that it was the best burger I’ve ever had or the worst for that matter, it was just simply alright/average. The fries were quite nice though and the staff were kind. A bit cramped but I guess its more of a takeaway place.

Had the Chicken Pita Bread and the chicken, sauce, pickles and bread was good, but would like tomatoes and more fresh veges but apart from that small detail, the kebab was great and will be back for more

Had the $7 vegetarian curry + rice + naan deal for lunch and the curry was nice and mild with lots of vegetables such as peas, celery and carrots etc, good deal!

I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and my friend had the spicy miso ramen and we shared the 6pc dumplings. We were both impressed with the food and especially loved all the things that they put in the ramen and it was very authentic japanese ramen. Cheap price and the food came fast.

Went here tonight. The atmosphere and the decor was nice, not too busy and not too quiet. I ordered the vegetarian green curry and it didn’t state how spicy it would be, but wow it was pretty spicy even though I enjoy spicy food. Overall the green curry was very tasty with lots of veges!

Went here tonight, was quite quiet which was nice. A dark dim atmosphere and loved the 90′s music they were playing, so nostalgic.
I ordered the Chicken Breast with mushroom sauce, roast veges and skillet potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the Rump Steak with mushroom sauce, salad and fries. We found both our meals hot, tender and big portions. The sauce was nice as well! Chips were a little salty, and there was a nice variety of veges, and especially loved the pumpkin.
The waitress was attentive and friendly.
Overall, good food, great music and nice waitress.
The price is cheap compared to other kiwi restaurant and bar types, so a good place to eat!
We will be back to try the pasta and hopefully the dessert if we are not too full from the main!

I ordered the Pizza online because it is faster to order online than waiting on the phone. Ordered the pizza at 7pm and it said that the pizza would be ready to pick up at 7.26pm, so we got there at 7.30pm and went up to the register and waited for a while assuming it was ready, only to find that the lady couldn’t find our pizza order so after asking her to politely find it for us, she told us later that the pizza just went into the oven, and that it would be a 15 minute wait.

So by around 8pm our pizza was ready to take home. I admit that the restaurant was quite busy but I do recommend that they have a more accurate time to when the pizza would be ready to pick up, to avoid unhappy customers.

However the pizza was delicious, we had the envy without onions. It’s recommended to come here on a not so busy night as the pizza is worth the $15 (slightly more expensive than other pizza takeaways).
Overall, customer service was ok and the pizza was nice!

I go to this coffee culture branch often, and I love the Iced Coffee range, especially the Iced Choffee and Mocha Frappe’s. However, when we visited tonight, me and my friend went to sit in an empty booth while my other friends were in the line buying drinks for us. Then a waitress came along and told us and ask whether we ‘snuck in’ while she wasn’t watching and told us that we can’t sit in these seats because they are ‘reserved’. Well first of all Coffee Culture isn’t a restaurant, there is no waitress at the front of the store to direct us to seats and tables so why do we get accused of sneaking past her? In my past experiences at coffee culture, we order the drinks and find an empty seats to sit in. And frankly, me and my friend definitely would not have sat there if there was a ‘table reserved ‘ sign on the booth, which there wasn’t!

I’ve gone to this coffee culture often and I’ve tried lots of the beverages on the menu. However, I recently tried the Cookies and Cream Frappe’s, and my god they did not taste good! The glass was basically filled with milk watered down and garnished with oreos on top, when you mixed the drink it basically looked like I was drinking a concrete mix that tasted like watery milk. Took a few sips because it was a waste of $6 but then decided I just couldn’t drink anymore of it. I’ve also ordered the Mocha Frappes and Iced Choffee ranges before and they taste alright but I saw them pouring choffee straight from a pre made milk carton and that just put me right off them. Surely they aren’t that busy that they need to pour a ready made mix straight into a glass? Even McDonalds don’t do pre made anymore! I’ve also tried the lemon iced tea and it was too sickly sweet. I once asked for a decaf and the barista told me she doesn’t know how to make it but she will try her best. It tasted bad but I felt bad for her so didn’t say anything. I’ve also tried the blackcurrant lemonade, it was just syrup with diluted water, no carbonated soda which seems odd to me. I can say that I’ve tried a range of what is available on the menu and I can say that Coffee Culture is not a place I’d waste my money on ever again. I’d rather have the perfect coffee from Starbucks or Illy from now on.

Went here for dinner on friday night with a friend. I ordered the green curry only to find that rice does not come with the curry and have to order it as a side. The curry itself was nice but had hard green bananas that were difficult to bite. The curry and everything on the mains were roughly $30 and frankly, in my opinion, I’ve had a green curry just as nice – minus the hard big chunks of bananas, for around $15. My friend had the Pad Thai and the presentation was very nice and tasted nice but a little expensive. The ambiance was nice, very formal but I don’t think we will be going back if we can order the same quality Thai food for half of the price.

Had the Chicken Souvlaki today and it was nice, the chicken was marinated nicely, the wrap with the garlic tasted great but not the best souvlaki i’ve had.

Went here with my boyfriend the other night. It was quite pleasant, the atmosphere was nice and intimate. We ordered the mild butter chicken and tikka masala but we both found that the curries were both too spicy for our liking. But we loved how the chicken was marinated and it tasted great. If it was a little bit less spicy it would have been an amazing meal

Amazing Souvlaki’s, no matter what type of meat you get; Chicken, Beef, Lamb. All of them are juicy and the salad is fresh and the souvlaki is so filling it makes a great lunch! I’ve tried these souvlaki’s in the old store before the CHC earthquake and I loved that you guys came to the Winter Wonderland at Canterbury University and I hope you guys come back this winter so I can enjoy your souvlaki more often!

Me and my group of friends always come here for drinks, but on St. Patrick’s Day we all decided to have dinner here as well. I had the StoneGrill Chicken Breast and I liked how I got to choose two side dishes from a wide varietie of salad and potato styles. I ended up choosing the mashed potato and garden salad and they both tasted great and it was fun cooking your own chicken on the Stone Grill too Every one else in the group seemed to be enjoying their steaks and burgers as well. But a steak for 40$ was a little pricey but my chicken only costed about $30 so its a little expensive but the food is presented well and is delicious.

Had the Mild Chicken Thai Green Curry and Beef Pad Sieyu (Noodles) and both we’re delicious but especially loved the noodles, it had fat flat noodles with beef and veges with a soy sauce base. Only took 10mins for the food to be cooked, but called beforehand. The meal was quite cheap too, ended up being like 25$ for both dishes. Will be back here for lunch next time!

The Chicken Cashew Chow Mee I had was rather bland, maybe should have gotten the hot box one instead, lots of chicken and they fill up the box full. Great service and very quick though.

Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday and the chicken with cherry sauce I had was delicious! I didn’t think the Cherry would go with my Chicken so I asked for it on the side, but the Cherry sauce made the chicken taste even better! Everyone else seemed to be enjoying their meal too and the staff was friendly

Amazing Green and Penang Curry. The Mild Bamboo Chicken was delicious as well but it definitely was not mild! A little too hot for me to handle but it was still nice.

I love Nando’s and I have been to the branches in Australia and the one in Beckenham. I usually have a Chicken Burger and the burger’s are massive and very juicy. I like how you can choose the spiciness of the chicken, usually I can only handle a mild chicken though.

Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday and the place was amazing. Loved the waterfall and the warm pub style restaurant. The chicken dish I had was nice and my boyfriend loved his steak

The Spagalimis Special Pizza I had was delicious and with lots of toppings! One of the best takeaway pizza places!

Absolutely love this restaurant! The atmosphere is great, the Johnny Cash Stash and the Dixie Chicken was both delicious and filling! The salad and chips on the side was great and a reasonable price too!

The beef wellington I had here was quite nice but the vegetables on the side were a bit of a let down. Perhaps a nicer side dish would make the overall meal nicer. But the service was great. Very attentive and friendly waitress!

Reasonable price and the mushroom pasta I usually order is creamy and delicious. The meatlover pizza is a little average to be honest. The chips and the garlic bread is good too

Very nice atmosphere and the pancakes I had were cute and delicious. A little small on the portion size but still very tasty!

Came here on Valentine’s Day for dessert and it was delicious and the Cheesecake I had was presented beautifully.

Amazing restaurant, every dish had a lot of healthy vegetables and was very fresh.

Delicious pizza, very gourmet but the olive salad that I ordered as an entree was a little disappointing because all that came out was olives, a bit of cheese and a tiny slice of bread. The restaurant had too many tables and chairs, which is fair enough because it is a popular restaurant, but it is a little bit of a squish for the diners.

Absolutely delicious and pretty cakes! The Strawberry Shortcake I had was delicious and creamy and my boyfriend’s chocolate mousse was very rich! One of the best cakes I have ever had and the owner was very nice as well

Delicious and the food and atmosphere is lovely.

The old restaurant back in the city was cheaper price and had more volume on the plate. Went to the new place recently, and oh though the restaurant looks very posh, the food was pricey and the range of fish on my Chirashi was very limited. The Cookai Special Carapacho was smaller quantity than it used to be, not enough sauce and more expensive. Don’t think we will be back.

The Chicken Tortilla I had was absolutely amazing and it was nice how I could assemble my own wraps. The food was great and the Strawberry and Peach Margarita we had was amazing but I don’t think it contained much alcohol since I had about 4 small glasses but I wasn’t tipsy. Still, very delicious meals and great for a girl’s night out!

One of my favourite Indian restaurant! Have been to the Edgeware, Rolleston and Hanmer Springs Coriander’s and all 3 of them are superb! The Butter Chicken I had was delicious and there was so much of it that I couldn’t finish it! We try and come here as often as we can!

Delicious place to eat brunch. Very American and enjoyed the atmosphere too. Have been here several times with great food and presentation every time! The free toast that came with our meal was nice too. A little pricey but worth it!
