We were in Wellington for the weekend and decided to stop at Juniper for a Cocktail. It has a lovely intimate atmosphere for a date night and the cocktails were so good that one soon became two and then some! (They have $10 cocktails on a Friday night). We hadn't intended on eating there, but they have a tapas style menu whicread moreh we ordered a few things off. Yum! Great drinks, great service, great food and not overly expensive for such a nice place. We'd definitely call in again next time we're in Wellington. show less

it was my birthday recently and i asked my husband to book juniper as i hadn't been there for years and remembered it always used to be excellent... where to start? when we arrived the waitress looked flustered and confused before we even spoke. my husband had made a reservation and they had no record of it. he was upset as hread moree had asked them to order a cake so he checked again and she again said there was no reservation made. we decided to stay anyway and got seated on a stained red suede seat and were gven a lukearm water. the waitress then disappeared without asking us if we would like a drink. so we left and went to leuven where the service was impeccable. juniper-avoid. show less

I recently held a 25th party at Juniper. From day one (when I walked off the street to see if they had any sort of venue for hire) I was met with wonderful service. Venue was free and available the night I asked about, We could order food (i was emailed the food list that same day) but didnt have to. We could place a bar tab (furead morell or subsidised or nothing) AND we could bring our own music. In the weeks leading up I received prompt and helpfull replies to any and all questions. On the night, I arrived early with my family and we enjoyed a delicious meal. The staff were helpful and lovely, especially with some unusual allergies among us. The party went off without a hitch.
